• Teams meet daily with core content teachers

*Medication and doctor’s written orders-required to be here the first day of school
School Nurse Reminders
• The required 6th grade proof of immunization forms signed by the doctor are due the first day of school
• Forms can be dropped off anytime during the summer

Physical Education• Students are required to change into a P.E. uniform.

• Parent note excuses a child for 3 days– Additional days require a doctor's note

• My child forgot his/her lunch. What do I do?
– Outside the main office are three bins labeled by grade. Make sure a name is on the lunch bag and drop it in the appropriate bin. BMS staff will bring the lunches to the cafe and call out the names.

• How do I get work if my child is absent?
– Less than 3 days - Parents should contact individual teachers asking for work.
– More than 3 days - Parents should contact counselor
and they will gather the work
Top Questions for Incoming 6th Grade Parents:
• My child is leaving early. What do I do?
– Send your child to school with a note. The note should be delivered to the main office right at the start of the school day. Or go into Genesis and mark off.
– Your child will receive a pass and be excused from class at the time of pick up.
– When you get to school please be prepared to show ID

• My child is having a problem with another student. What do I do?
– The best course of action is to contact Mrs. Mikorski, Grade 6 counselor.
– Mrs. Mikorski will determine if it is a situation she can mediate or she will work with BMS administration to resolve the issue.

• How will I know if my child didn’t make the right choice at school?– Teachers will provide regular contact related to
discipline incidents in the classroom.
Any time office or lunch detention is assigned Genesis will send an email with a description of the incident.
