November is our Parish’s month to help stock the shelves of the CSS food pantry. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in back of church. There are also envelopes on the table for monetary dona-tions.

Christmas Giving Tree Sacred Heart will be sponsor-ing a ”Giving Tree” for those in need. If you or a parish-ioner you know would benefit from receiving a gift, please call the rectory between 9am

and 4pm, Mon-Fri, or contact Geri Flink, 402-560-5071. If you would like to purchase a gift, you may take a tag from the tree that will be in the back of church starting Nov. 30-Dec 1.

Remembrance Book— You may write the names of your faithful departed in the book on the podium in back of church. As a parish we will keep all of them in our prayers, especially this month.

Annual Cookie/Candy Sale—December 7 - 8 Bakers and candy makers—check those reci-pes and plan to bring your specialties to share with others and help grow the building fund. We ask each baker or candy maker to bring four dozen (or as many as possible) of your fa-vorites. Cookies and candies are sold for $5.00 a pound. Cookies are also taken to our shut-ins by volunteers.

If you would like to take cookies to a shut-in, please contact Laura at 402-476-2610. If there are cook-ies left over, they are taken to City Mission or Matt Talbot Kitchen. (If you are not a baker, please come to shop and to enjoy hot cider, coffee and free samples!)
