PARISH FESTIVAL NEWS Sunday, June 23

North Shelter, Riverside Park

Faith and Fellowship It’s hard to believe the festival is only one week away! The day will begin with Mass in the park at 10:30 AM followed by our fabulous grilled chicken dinner; all dinners are $10. Dinner tickets may be purchased in advance at the parish office dur-ing regular office hours, or at the festival. Enjoy the music of Tuba Dan, Bingo at 1:00 PM, games for children and adults, short order food stand, raffle baskets, si-lent auction, Color Run at 3:00 PM … something for the whole family to enjoy! Desserts - Calling all you bakers out there! We will be looking forward to your delicious selection of goodies for dessert. Pies are welcome, of course, and pie tins are available in the gathering space. But feel free to make your favorite bars, cakes, or special sugar-free treats as well. Please label your pans with your name and type of dessert. Desserts may be dropped off at church Saturday morning between 7 - 9 am, or Sunday morning at the park. Anyone interested in helping serve food can call Donna McMartin at 290-1904.

Meal Delivery - It’s not too late to arrange to have a meal delivered. If you or someone you know needs a meal delivered, please contact Julie at 361-2562 or 920-290-2703. Silent Auction, Prizes, and Baskets Silent Auction items may be brought to church or delivered to the park the morning of the festival. Prizes for children’s and adult games are always needed and can be dropped of in the container in the gathering

area of the church. There is always room for more baskets. Ask a friend or relative to join you and have fun! Call Lori Pavelske at

361-3768 with your theme or if you have questions. Please, no alcohol in the baskets, and remember they will be outside in the warm weather for several hours.

Raffle Tickets - have you sold all your raffle tickets yet? It’s a great ticket with over $8000 in prizes. MANY still need to be picked up. This is our biggest income of the festival, so it’s really important we all do our part. Pick up your tick-ets and sell them or buy them yourself...and come back for more! There is a bonus with your ticket envelope - we will draw 10 numbers and if your number matches one of them, you will have won $50 or $100. You must present your envelope at the picnic to claim your prize between 11AM - 3PM. Color Run - Join the fun at 3PM! Runners or walkers of all ages are welcome to participate! This is a non-competitive, untimed, short course where the ultimate goal is fun. Contact Carol Fehring at 229-4590 or [email protected] with questions. Manpower - We also need volunteers who can help move tables, chairs, and games to the park on Saturday, June 22. Meet at the church shed at 7:00 AM. Trucks, trailers, dads, and teens would all be appreciated to help on Saturday morning and again at 3:30 on Sunday to reload all of the above.

FAITH FORMATION

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - July 8 - 12

Summer is here and that means we are gearing up for another fun and faith-filled week of VBS for our youngsters! This summer, youth will get to put their detective hats on and discover the greatest mystery on earth as they spend a week learning about the incredible treasure of the Mass. Students will develop a new appreciation for the Catholic Mass and will deepen their love for Jesus in the Eucharist through faith teachings, catchy music, fun games, crafts, and more! So get your spy glasses ready, put on your detective hats, and mark your calendars for July 8 - 12! Online Registration is now OPEN! The link can be found on the parish website: allsaintsberlin.org, on our Facebook page or by typing the following link in your internet browser: https://forms.gle/rtQfPbREfzew14X67 Students in grades 5 -12 who are interested in becoming Lead Detectives (lead Missionaries) should register also as VBS Leaders. We are still looking for Volunteers for VBS, if you are interested please contact the DRE at the parish office at 920-361-5252.

LOVE BEGINS HERE - This summer our parish will host middle school students from across the diocese from July 21–July 24. Would you like help with some yard work? Do your windows need to be washed? How about a simple painting project? These young people are eager and willing to help, and all groups will be accompanied by adult chaperones. Please contact the parish office if you would like a helping hand this summer. MUSIC OPPORTUNITY - We are in the summer season, but, as Father might say - there is no vacation from the Lord. So it’s always a good time to consider becoming a part of the music program, either as a song leader or perhaps as a member of the choir. New members are always welcome. Contact Mark by email: [email protected] or call 361-1884. Thanks! IN SEARCH OF YOUNG ADULTS! - SPIRITUS is seeking Catholic young adults, 21-29 years of age, to join the SPIRITUS missionary team this August. SPIRITUS ignites the faith in thousands of young Catholics through retreats and parish youth ministry each year! Missionaries live in community and travel to parishes and schools throughout Wisconsin; they receive training, formation, spiritual direction, lodging, food, a monthly allowance, health insurance and a $2,000 stipend upon completion of the 9-month program. It is a unique opportunity to serve our Lord and help young Catholics grow in faith. Visit www.spiritusministries.org, contact Rachel at [email protected], or (920) 722-8918 x113 for more information.

O Lord, our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth! Psalm 8:2

News and Announcements

CROSSES ON THE HILL You may have noticed the display of pink and blue crosses on the hill by the welcome signs as you pull into the driveway. The crosses are here in preparation for our pro-life event to be held on June 20. They depict and commemorate all of the lives lost to abortion since Roe v. Wade was signed into law in 1973. Each cross represents 100,000 abortions. There are 500 crosses. Do the math.

We would like to thank all of the families who helped plant the crosses in the ground. For more information on our pro-life speaker, please see the Parish Press section of this bulletin. EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS - Due to the fact we may be having visiting priests with us who are assisting on upcoming weekends, please check in with Sr. Michaeleen at the server's sacristy before Mass regarding any Communion changes from what we usually do. Thank you for your understanding as we work through these next weeks to help make things go smoothly and reverently all for God's honor and glory. BLOOD DRIVE - Community Blood Center will hold a blood drive at Grace Lutheran Church on Tuesday, June 18th from 10:30 AM until 5:30 PM. If you wish to make an appointment, please call Nancy at 361-3679. If you come to donate, please bring ID and drink plenty of fluids beforehand. SEEKING VOLUNTEERS - We are in need of a person or a group of people who would be willing and able to dust pews and perhaps other light dusting in the church about once a month. Please contact the office. ALL SAINTS AT THE BALLPARK: The Holy Name Society is again organizing an evening at Timber Rattlers Stadium. The game will be on Wednesday (More bang for your Buck night) July 17. Ticket prices will be $9 each and we have reserved 40 seats. Unfortunately we will not have a bus available this year so carpooling is encouraged. If you are interested please call John Brennan at (920) 279-9265 or email: [email protected]

You may designate your donations to any of these funds on your preferred schedule. If you have any questions, call the parish office for assistance 920-361-5252. All Saints Congregation Endowment Fund

The Berlin Catholic School Endowment Fund, Inc.

Envelopes are available in the gathering space or contact the parish office.

Remembering the Parish in your Will An important way for members of one generation to have a lasting impact on the parish and it’s institutions is to make a lump sum bequest, or estate percentage bequest, in one’s Will.

Stewardship: Sharing the Gifts We Have Been Given

Sacraments

Baptism At All Saints Parish, Baptisms are usually celebrated on Sundays after the 10 am Mass.

All parents who wish to baptize a child are asked to call the Parish Office 920-361-5252 to speak with Father David about scheduling the Baptism.

Baptism for adults is part of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA program)

Marriages Arrangements must be made 6 months in advance. Marriage Preparation courses are required.

Blessed Sacrament Adoration Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on the Thursday before the First Friday 2:30-6:30 PM

Communion to the Homebound All Saints Parish feels that it is important the sick, elderly, and homebound of our parish still receive the Holy Eucharist.
