Ready to start your online course? Lets go!
We are so excited you have chosen to join us!
Before you begin, lets go over some
important information
Topics Covered1. Grace Period 2. Required Contacts (DBAs, Monthly calls)3. Pace 4. Academic Integrity 5. Troubleshooting
Grace Period
A grace period is like a ‘free trial’
This starts after you complete your welcome call and are activated in
the course.
The grace period lasts for 28 CALENDAR DAYS.
If you drop within the grace period, there is no grade penalty, and you will need to meet
with your counselor to find an alternate course.
If you drop after the grace period or do not complete the course by the deadline, it may
result in the issue of an “F” for your final grade.
Required ContactsMCs, DBAs, Sick/Vacation Days
Monthly Calls (MC’s)
A call to discuss progress & answer questions. This may be completed via email as
well. (only if the parent & student emails are different!)
This must be completed with the student and a
parent/guardian.
Discussion Based Assessments (DBA’s)
A graded phone call in which your instructor will discuss some of the
key elements of the unit.
This is a chance to show what you have learned!
If you get sick and cannot work for a week or if you have computer issues, please contact your
instructor, so that alternate plans can be made.
You have the same holiday/vacation time built into each segment of the course as all Pasco
County schools
Please email or call your instructor before taking a vacation week outside these designated dates.
Sick/Vacation Time
PaceWeekly expectations and Pace Carts
For each course, you are expected to make
progress EVERY WEEK.
Instructors have created Pace Charts for every course that incorporate Pasco eSchool dates and
deadlines.
Pace charts can be found on your course announcement page. Contact your instructor with
questions.
Completing the weekly assignments is REQUIRED, and not staying on pace can result in your removal from the course.
Academic Integrity Making sure it is your work.
PlagiarismBorrowing, copying, [stealing]
