 The school day begins at 8:00 am and ends at 2:30

pm.  

Tardy: If you arrive after 8:00 am, please park and come to the front office to sign your child into school.

 Sign Out: No student will be released after 2:00 pm.

  

If you are absent from school, you must have a note from parents.

 You have three days to make up missed work.

TRANSPORTATION PROCEDURES CAR RIDER: PARENTS ARE ALLOWED TO WALK THEIR CHILD TO CLASS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. IN THE AFTERNOONS, PARENTS ARE ASKED TO FORM A SINGLE FILE CAR LINE IN THE FRONT DRIVE WAY. STAFF MEMBERS WILL IDENTIFY YOU BY THE CAR RIDER TAG HANGING FROM YOUR REAR VIEW MIRROR, WHICH HAS YOUR CHILD’S NAME ON IT. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE PERSON PICKING YOUR CHILD UP DISPLAYS THIS TAG; IF NOT, THEY WILL BE ASKED TO COME INTO THE BUILDING AND SHOW IDENTIFICATION. WE WILL NOT RELEASE STUDENTS TO ADULTS THAT WALK UP TO THE SCHOOL DURING CAR RIDER PICK UP.  BUS RIDER: SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION IS A PRIVILEGE. BACK TO BACK, BOTTOM TO BOTTOM, BOOK BAG IN YOUR LAP. ADMINISTRATION HAS THE AUTHORITY TO SUSPEND STUDENTS FROM RIDING THE BUS FOR FAILURE TO OBSERVE ESTABLISHED SAFETY RULES/REGULATIONS. BUS DISCIPLINE WILL BE HANDLED BY ADMINISTRATION AND THE FOLLOWING DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS WILL BE TAKEN:

1ST OFFENSE: COUNSEL W/STUDENT, PARENT NOTIFICATION, AND MAX 3 DAYS OFF.2ND OFFENSE: 5 DAYS OFF BUS.3RD OFFENSE: 10 DAYS OFF BUS, POSSIBLE SUSPENSION FOR REMAINDER OF

SCHOOL.4TH OFFENSE: STUDENT WILL BE SUSPENDED FROM BUS FOR REMAINDER OF

SCHOOL. CHANGES IN TRANSPORTATIONCHANGES TO YOUR CHILD’S TRANSPORTATION WILL ONLY BE APPROVED BY ADMINISTRATION FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY. WE WILL NOT MAKE DAILY CHANGES TO BUS ASSIGNMENTS. WE REQUIRE WRITTEN NOTICE FOR ANY CHANGE IN YOUR CHILD’S TRANSPORTATION NEEDS. THE NOTE SHOULD INCLUDE DATE, STUDENT’S NAME, AND TEACHER’S NAME, DROP OFF ADDRESS, REASON FOR THE CHANGE AND NUMBER WHERE PARENT CAN BE REACHED, WITH SIGNATURE. NO TRANSPORTATION CHANGES CAN BE MADE OVER THE TELEPHONE.

SCHOOL NURSE/HEALTH SERVICES PARENTS/GUARDIANS WILL BE NOTIFIED IN THE EVENT OF SERIOUS ACCIDENTS/SUDDEN ILLNESS. PLEASE DOCUMENT ANY SPECIAL MEDICAL NEEDS YOUR CHILD MAY HAVE IN WRITING TO THE SCHOOL. LONG TERM MEDICATION: PARENTS MUST HAVE A FORM FROM THE OFFICE COMPLETED BY YOUR CHILD’S DOCTOR, FILED AT SCHOOL, IN ORDER TO RECEIVE MEDICATIONS AT SCHOOL.  ILLNESSES: IF THE SCHOOL SUSPECTS YOUR CHILD HAS A CONTAGIOUS CONDITION, YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED. TO PROTECT OTHER STUDENTS, YOUR CHILD MAY NEED TO BE KEPT OUT OF SCHOOL UNTIL TREATED BY A PHYSICIAN/HEALTH DEPARTMENT, AND PROVIDE A NOTE RELEASING THE CHILD BACK TO SCHOOL.

HOMEWORK/CLASS WORK

YOUR CHILD’S PARTICIPATION IN CLASS WORK AND HOMEWORK IS VERY IMPORTANT! REPORTING GRADESPROGRESS REPORTS WILL BE ISSUED EVERY FOUR WEEKS, AND REPORT CARDS WILL BE ISSUED EVERY NINE WEEKS. 3-5 GRADES: A=93-100 (EXCELLENT)

OTHER REMINDERS… Keep food away from your laptop. Always have clean hands when using your laptop. Protect the LCD display monitor. When you shut your laptop, make

sure there are no small items, such as a pencil or small ear-phones, on the keyboard. These can damage the display screen when shut; the screen will scratch if the item is rough. Close the lid gently and holding from the middle. Closing the lid using only one side causes pressure on that hinge, and over time can cause it to bend and snap.

Hold and lift the computer by its base with two hands, not by its LCD display (the screen).

Plug in accessory devices into their proper slots. Insert drives into their slots carefully and at the correct angle. Don't leave your laptop in a car. Look into getting a laptop bag. Many breaks happen because

of laptops being dropped or bumped.
