Why Might you Need to See Me?

• If you are having difficulties with your studies and want to ask about assessments for support - E.g. dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD etc.

• If you want to discuss anything related to disability or other long term medical conditions (e.g. Mental health)


Support for Additional Needs

• Some students have additional needs and the University tries to cater for these

• If a student is assessed as having additional needs (e.g. they have dyslexia), the University may allow: - Additional time for exams/rest breaks - Examinations in smaller rooms/with fewer people - Extensions to courseworks upon request

• But you need to be assessed by Student Services first!

Module Options

• You need to pick 20 credits from the following - Unix and Software Tools (10 - Sem1) - Web Programming (10 - Sem2) - Engineering Maths (10 - Sem1) - Foundation Maths (10 - AllYear)

•Or 20 credits from other departments - with approval



Joint Honours Students

• You should go to the welcome events of both schools!

• Check when teaching begins!

•Options? - check your scheme e.g. CS+Management - you need 20 business credits!

Course Transfers

• Internal Transfers - BSc <-> MSci - quite easy in the first year - will get bounced back if fail to meet the requirements

• Single <-> Joint Honours - needs approval from other department - needs to be ASAP - in first 3 weeks! - they’ll look at your entry requirements

•Deadline: End of week 3 (Friday 12th Oct)

• Simple choices - take it to the school office

•Not so simple - Max’s Open Hours - Friday 6th Oct - 9am-12noon - THEN IM AWAY!
