MEMORANDUM FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
SUBJECT: Welcome and Orientation for Explosive Ordnance Disposal School, Phase I
1. On behalf of the Department Director, Department Sergeant Major, and the EODTraining Division staff, we would like to welcome your attendance to ExplosiveOrdnance Disposal School, Phase I conducted at Fort Lee, VA.
2. MOS-T and Officer: Soldiers will report to 59TH Ordnance Brigade, Bldg. 18018with all required documents upon arrival. After reporting to the Brigade, students willproceed to Fox Company, 832D Ordnance Battalion CQ desk, Bldg. 3005 for unitprocessing and billeting. Fox CQ Duty phone is (804) 734-6533, the Platoon Sergeanton Duty phone is (804) 734-6355. All students must physically sign in. The FoxCompany CQ desk is open 24/7.
3. COVID-19 Requirements: Personnel who are not coming from BCT or Fort LeeBLOC are required to be in quarantine for 14 days. Failure to report 14 days prior to youthe class start date will require the Soldier to be placed in a different EOD Phase 1class.
4. All Students will check-in to EOD Training Division at the Student Control Desk inJudkins Hall Bldg. 18016 during normal duty hours on the first duty day following theirarrival at Fort Lee. Parking is available; see attached map for authorized areas. Uniformis OCP.
5. Provisions for students are as follows.
a. Officers
i. Lodging: Barracks are not available.
ii. Meals: BAS is authorized. Officers will purchase meals on their own.
b. MOS-T Soldiers
i. Lodging: Barracks are provided by F Co, 832nd OD BN.

ii. Meals: Soldiers will be directed to subsist at designated governmentdining facilities seven days per week.

FORT LEE TRAVEL GUIDANCE Driving Directions-
I-95 Southbound from Arlington
1. Proceed south on I-95 merging onto I-295 S via exit number 84A (left exit) toward Rocky Mount, N.C.
2. Continue on I-295 S onto VA-36 W/Oaklawn Boulevard via exit number 9B toward Fort Lee/Colonial Heights.
3. If you possess an accepted DoD or Federally issued ID: When you're coming off I-295 via exit 9B toward Fort Lee/Petersburg, proceed to the fourth traffic light and turn left at the Sisisky Boulevard Gate.
Approximate Travel Time: 2 hours, 17 minutes
I-95 Northbound from Rocky Mount, N.C.

FORT LEE TRAVEL GUIDANCE (Cont.) Air Travel- Richmond International Airport (RIC) – the primary commercial airport closest to Fort Lee.
Located seven miles southeast of Richmond's central business district, RIC is 40 minutes from the post, within an hour drive of Williamsburg, and a two-hour drive from Washington, D.C., the Blue Ridge Mountains and Virginia Beach.
A United Service Organizations Center is available in the terminal for active duty and retired military personnel, National Guard, Reservists, Merchant Marines and their dependents. The USO Center at RIC is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Military ID is required for entry.
Ground Transportation-
To/From Richmond International Airport
For Advanced Individual Training Soldiers the following company will provide transportation between Richmond International Airport and the post at no individual cost when provided with a complete copy of the service member's signed military orders to Fort Lee (applies only to initial arrival and final departure in accordance with orders):

Taxi Service
The taxi company listed below is authorized to operate on Fort Lee, providing transportation on/around post and in surrounding communities.

Rail Service-
Regional and national rail service is provided by AMTRAK. The AMTRAK station is located at 3516 South Street, Petersburg, VA 23803, and the ticket office hours are 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily.

Regional bus service is provided by Greyhound Trailways at 108 East Washington Street, Petersburg.

HELPFUL INFORMATION Visitor Control Center

The Visitor Control Center is adjacent to the Lee gate, just off Route 36. The staff can help visitors find a destination on post and answer general questions about installation services and events. The Visitor Center hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.

The Soldier Support Center is located in building 3400, between B and C Avenues and 16th and 17th Streets.
The Soldier Support Center is open for general operations from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
When arriving at the Soldier Support Center, parking in the 13th Street lot is recommended.
