DIRECTIONS:From Interstate 84 or Interstate 287: Take Interstate 684 to exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road). At end of Hardscrabble Road, turn right. Old Salem Farm is on the right. RULES AND REGULATIONS1. Exhibitors must be in proper riding attire and wear protective headgear.2. Hunter classes to be judged on soundness and performance. Any additional specification will be

noted. Trophy and eight ribbons awarded in every class, unless otherwise noted.3. Hunter courses include: gates, brush, walls, oxers, in and out, coops rails or any combination

there of.4. Jumper courses include: post and rail, gates, oxers, walls, panels, coops or any combination there

of.5. Ring dimensions and footing: Hedge Ring 140' x 250', June Road Ring 150' x 300', Indoor ring

114' x 195'. Footing in all rings is sand/fiber mix.6. If jumping orders are to be used, the horses names will be drawn individually starting with the

first position then working down. Orders will be announced and posted one hour before the class. A dotted line may be instituted to limit the size of opening circles if entries require.

7. The Management reserves the right to cancel, combine or split any class if entries warrant.8. SCRATCH FEES: Show Scratch $50.00.Same day Scratch $10.00 per class. If a class is not

scratched in the office prior to the start of the class exhibitors will be responsible for the full class fee.

9. Every animal entered for competition or on the show grounds shall be under the control of the horse show committee. Old Salem Farm and/or its employees shall not be liable or responsible for any loss or damage to any animal, person or property, which may occur for any reason during the show and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor hold Old Salem Farm, its owners, agents, employees and the USEF blameless for any accident or loss which may occur.

10. A fine of $50.00 plus collection fees will be assessed for all non-negotiable checks. Foreign competitors are required to pay in US funds to avoid discount charges.

11. No dogs or other pets allowed on the grounds unless leashed and under control.Equine Health Requirements/Protocols: All horses (competing or not) that enter the grounds must have available for inspection: Negative Coggins within one year (required) and a statement of health signed and dated by a licensed veterinarian within 7 days of arrival of Old Salem Farm Show Grounds. The statement of health must show the horse/pony has been enrolled in a regular and consistent program of vaccination against EHV-1 with the most recent booster being within 180 days. The statement of health must state that the horse/pony have not shown symptoms of or been treated for EHV-1 in the past 28 days nor has been exposed to any horse/pony being treated for or show symptoms of EHV-1. Horses traveling from other than New York State require a certificate of health.

I AGREE in consideration for my participation in this Competition - Old Salem Farm Horse Shows to the following: I Agree that “Competition” as used herein includes Old Salem Farm Acquisition Corp, it’s owners and employees, the Competition Management as well as all of their officials, officers, directors, employees, agents, personnel, volunteers, property owners and Federation affiliates. AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in the Competition with my horse, as a rider, driver, handler, lessee, owner, agent, coach, trainer or as parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and the Competition involve inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss, and serious bodily injury including broken bones, head injuries, trauma, pain, suffering, or death.(“Harm”)I AGREE to hold harmless and release the Competition from all claims for money damages or otherwise for any Harm to me or my horse and for any Harm of any nature caused by me or my horse to others, even if the Harm arises or results resulted, directly or indirectly, from the negligence of the Competition. I have read the USEFRules about protective equipment, including GR801 and if applicable EV114, and I understand that I am entitled to wear protective equipment without penalty, and I acknowledge that the competition strongly encourages me to do so while WARNING that no protective equipment can guard all of the obligation of this Release on the child’s behalf.I AGREE that “Competition” as used above includes all of their officials, officers, directors, employees, agents, personnel, volunteers, property owners and affiliated organizations. I represent that I have the requisite training, coaching and abilities to safely compete in this competition. The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program, $2,000 Low Thoroughbred Hunter Division, with prize money and ribbons, 1st place to 6th place. The Division will be held at 3' and will consist of two

over fence classes and one under saddle class.

To encourage the retraining of Thoroughbreds into other disciplines upon completion of careers in racing or breeding, The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) is offering sponsorship for High Point Thoroughbred awards. You must compete in all 2 of the 3 events to be eligible for the series award.

Eligibility: Only Thoroughbreds that have been registered with The Jockey Club or a foreign Thoroughbred studbook recognized by The Jockey Club are eligible to participate in T.I.P. classes and awards. Riders and owners must obtain a T.I.P. number for all horse/rider combinations. T.I.P. number applications are done online at www.tjctip.com. T.I.P. numbers must be provided to the horse show secretary and listed on entry blank. Horse to be referenced by its official racing name and pedigree.

Motorized Vehicle StatementIn accordance with GR1301.7:Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
