*GREETING

*HYMN Amazing Grace! arr. Mack Wilberg Amazing Grace! how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now I see.

The Lord has promised good to me His word my hope secures; He will my shield and portion be, As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease; I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace.

When we've been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun; We've no less days to sing God's praise Than when we’ve first begun.

Choir Only We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we’ve first begun.

SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM (11:00) Rev. Ann Spears, Mandy Jones and Rev. John Onstott

CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE With God’s help we will proclaim the good news and live according to the example of Christ. We will surround Emily Margaret Tucker with a community of love and forgiveness that she may grow in her trust of God and be found faithful in her service to others. We will pray for her, that she may be a true disciple who walks in the way that leads to life eternal.

SUNG RESPONSE I Was There to Hear Your Borning Cry #2051 "I was there to hear your borning cry, (The Faith We Sing Hymnal) I'll be there when you are old. I rejoiced the day you were baptized, To see your life unfold.”

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE Rev. John Onstott

THE WORD IN SONG Psalm of Thanksgiving Joseph M. Martin Sanctuary Choir

Now thank we all our God with heart and hands and voices. Who wondrous things has done, in Whom the world rejoices.

Glory be to God! I will give thanks to You, my God. Your name is high above the nations.

I will praise You with joyful proclamation. I will give thanks to You, my God.

With praise beyond the highest steeple, in the presence of Your people, I will thank You!

Lord, You are holy and Your works are filled with wonder. Your voice sounds forth like thunder over all.

You are eternal and Your love is without measure. Your Word will stand forever. Your glory fills the earth.

I will rejoice and sing unto the Lord, my God! I will give thanks to You, O God.

You are the Author of salvation, the King of all creation, the one true God! I will give thanks to You, O God. This is my song of celebration, my hymn

of adoration. I will thank You! I will give thanks to You, O God! Thanks be to God!

*THE WORD IN SCRIPTURE2 Timothy 4:1-5 Page 201, N.T. Pew Bible This is the Word of the Lord! Thanks be to God!

MESSAGE Mandy Jones Be Prepared

THE LORD’S PRAYER

*HYMN I Sing the Mighty Power of God arr. Mack Wilberg I sing the mighty pow’r of God That made the mountains rise, That spread the flowing seas abroad And built the lofty skies. I sing the wisdom that ordained The sun to rule the day; The moon shines full at His command, And all the stars obey.

I sing the goodness of the Lord That filled the earth with food; He formed the creatures with His word, And then pronounced them good. Lord, Thy wonders are displayed Where’er I turn my eye; If I survey the ground I tread, Or gaze upon the sky.

There’s not a plant or flow’r below But makes Thy glories known; And clouds arise, and tempests blow, By order from Thy throne; While all that borrows life from Thee Is ever in Thy care, And everywhere that we can be, Thou, God, art present there.

Choir Only And everywhere that we can be,

Thou, God, art present there.

*FAITHFUL GIVING Rev. Ann Spears

THE WORD IN SONG Bound for the Promised Land arr. Mack Wilberg Sanctuary Choir

On Jordan’s stormy banks I stand and cast a wishful eye, To Canaan’s fair and happy land where my possessions lie.

There generous fruits that never fail on trees immortal grow; There rocks and hills and brooks and vales with milk and honey flow. I am bound for the promised land, O who will come and go with me?

I am bound for the promised land. O the transporting rapturous scene that rises to my sight, Sweet fields arrayed in living green and rivers of delight.

When shall I reach that happy place and be forever blessed? When shall I see my Father’s face and in His bosom rest?

I am bound for the promised land, O who will come and go with me? I am bound for the promised land!

INVITATION Mandy Jones

*HYMN Foundations arr. J. Martin How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord, Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word! What more can we say than to you He hath said, To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

“Fear not, I am with thee; O be not dismayed, For I am thy God and will still give thee aid. I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand, Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.”

Choir Only Brethren, we have met to worship and adore the Lord our God.

Will you pray with all your power while we try to preach the Word? All is vain unless the Spirit of the holy One comes down.

Brethren, pray, and holy manna will be showered all around. Sisters, will you join and help us? Moses’ sister aided him.

Will you help the trembling mourners who are struggling hard with sin? Tell them all about the Savior. Tell them that He will be found.

Sisters, pray, and holy manna will be showered all around.

How firm our Foundation ye saints of the Lord, Is laid for your faith in His excellent word! What more can you say than to you He hath said, To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

Choir Only Sing, alleluia. Sing, alleluia. Sing, alleluia, alleluia!
