• Identify elements of a great grant proposal
• Understand the different types of funding available for your programs
• Learn tips, tricks and pet peeves of granting organizations
• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a priority of corporations, all have yearly reports detailing this aspect of their business.
• Community Investment/Involvement is a key element to CSR.
• Corporations are part of our communities, staffed by our family, friends and neighbours.

What Makes a Great Proposal?
The corporation must build a business case to support your initiative, make it
easy for them!
What Makes a Great Proposal?
• Alignment with corporate priorities, more than one if possible! Environment AND Education.
• Concise, succinct, plain language, easy to understand - need I say more…. (3-4 pages max)
• Associated with other initiatives the corporation is supporting – DO YOUR RESEARCH!

• Be clear with your sponsor recognition elements, clearly show the differences in recognition levels based on $$$$ invested.
• Meeting a unique need not being met by anyone else,
OR• Partnering/collaborating with others to seek solutions
that cannot be found in isolation

Consider starting small and work to prove your ability to deliver, before jumping in!
