Welcome to the International Assembly in beautiful Orlando, Florida. There is a sense of momentum calling us to a Holy Spirit breakthrough in all of our lives, in the heart of this Church, and in the world we are called to serve.

Breakthrough suggests something that goes beyond what we have planned or could accomplish on our own.

It denotes a dynamic of God’s power that moves us beyond all expectations, goals, and barriers to fulfill His calling, vision, and plan for us.

We see the God of the breakthrough in David’s life where he said, “God has broken through my enemies by my hand, like a bursting flood. Therefore the name of that place is called Baal-perazim.” Some translate this name, “the place. . . of the Lord of the Breakthrough.” This short passage uses this term three times, drawing our attention to the anointing of God breaking through or bursting through like a flood.

We are trusting God to break through in our lives at this Assembly, where we will experience Him in His fullness; in transformation and healing; equipping us for a breakthrough in our calling to reach every culture before His soon return.

GENERAL INFORMATIONASSEMBLY REGISTRATION AND OPERATIONS OFFICE—The Assembly Operations Coordinator has an office at the Gatlin Registration 1. Representatives are available to assist you in any way possible.

GLOBAL MISSIONS MINISTRIES—Several events will be hosted during this Assembly. Please see information on page 30, 31. Stop by our booth to purchase Mission Breakfast tickets and to pick up free missions materials and information regarding the global missions network of the Church, including resources for Harvest Partners Ministry, Helping Hand Ministry, and One Child Fund Ministry.

AUDIO AND VIDEO TAPES—Audio CDs and DVDs are available for purchase, so take the Assembly home with you to enjoy in weeks and months to come. For your convenience, an order form is available in this program, page 42. The booth is located in the Gatlin pre-function area.

BUS SERVICE—Bus service to area hotels and International Drive is available at the Sebastian entrance.

DECEASED MINISTERS MEMORIAL—Honor the memories of ministers who have passed since the last Assembly by visiting the memorial located in the Gatlin pre-function area.

EMERGENCY CALLS—Those needing to contact delegates in the event of an EMERGENCY may reach the Rosen Shingle Creek staff by calling 407-996-9939.

FINANCIAL SERVICES OFFICE—Attention, national overseers, national treasurers , and field clerks! Should you have reason to meet with the International Offices accounting personnel, you are welcome to visit the offices located at St. John’s 24.

FIRST AID—For emergency situations, please see an usher as they can direct you to the proper location.

FOOD SERVICE—The Rosen Shingle Creek has a wide variety of casual and formal dining , including Café Osceola, A Land Remembered, Banrai Sushi, Tobias Flats & Watering Hole, Clubhouse Grill, and 18 Monroe Street Market. Hotel guests will receive 15

percent off their dining purchases. Assembly guests can also utilize the shuttle service to choose from additional restaurants located on International Drive.

INTERPRETATION (TRANSLATION)—Interpretation (translation) will be offered for Spanish, French, and Russian languages. The transmission of interpretation will be on the FM frequency which will be posted at the beginning of each session. You may purchase AM/FM radios and batteries in the bookstore.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER—Join other intercessors from around the world throughout the week to intercede for the business and ministry times at this year’s Assembly. A prayer room is available in St. Johns 34. You may join those praying at any time during the day or sign up to pray at a specific time during the week. Stop by the prayer room for more information.

INTERNET ACCESS—Is available in all public areas of the Rosen Shingle Creek property.

LOST AND FOUND—Items found should be taken to the ushers’ station, stage right and stage left. You may also check with the ushers regarding item(s) you may have lost.

MINISTRY BOOTHS—Ministry booths are located in the Exhibit Hall. Be sure to visit them and pick up supplies needed before leaving this Assembly.

NURSERY—An unstaffed infant nursery is available for use in St. John’s 22 and an unstaffed toddler nursery is available in St. John’s 23.

PARKING—If you are staying at a Rosen property, parking is free with in-and-out privileges. For those staying in other properties, parking costs are $16 per day with in-and-out privileges.

SIGN LANGUAGE—If you can and are willing to sign for the hearing impaired, please contact the ushers.

USHERS AND SECURITY PERSONNEL—The ushers’ stations are located stage right and stage left. Should you wish to assist as an usher, check with the division chairperson, Joshua Lynn.

WHEELCHAIRS and ACCESSIBILITY—Should you need to rent a wheelchair or other accessibility equipment, you can call K&M Rentals at 407-363-7388.

Elected to the post in 2012, Dr. Williams previously served as second assistant general overseer from 2008–2012. Prior to leading the Church of God on the International Executive Committee, Dr. Williams was state overseer for California-Nevada and was a member of the International Executive Council. Dr. Williams began his ministerial career as an evangelist. In 1995, he accepted his first pastorate, leading the South Cleveland Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee, for four years, followed by a five-year tenure at the Riverhills Church in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree and the Doctor of Divinity degree from Lee University, and an M.Div. from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary. He is married to Sandra Kay and they have two sons, Austin and Ryan.

Litt., LPCDr. Ferguson serves as the executive director for several U.S. and global initiatives focused on Great Commission living empowered by Great Commandment love. In the faith community, the Great Commandment Network serves more than 20 denominations and para-church ministries through pastoral care, training strategies, and resource development. Dr. Ferguson has served on various national and international initiatives and boards including the Awakening America Alliance Cabinet, Empowered 21 Global and U.S. Cabinets, Garden Tomb Council in Jerusalem/London, The Marriage CoMission U.S. Steering Committee, The Fatherhood CoMission, NextGen Imperative and the Relational Values Alliance. Dr. Ferguson and his wife, Teresa, are co-founders of the Center for Relational Leadership and have conducted training and coaching events for leaders from more than 50 countries. They have three adult children, seven special grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. They reside in Austin, Texas.

Dr. Alvin PadillaDr. Padilla is the Dean of Hispanic Ministries Program and former Dean of the Gordon-Conwell Boston (CUME) campus. He came to Gordon-Conwell after five years of teaching Biblical Studies at Nyack College. Prior to that, he founded and taught at the Spanish Eastern School of Theology in Swan Lake, New York, for seven years. He has also served as pastor of the Fort Washington Heights Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) in New York City, a

Spanish-speaking congregation. In his work as Dean of the Boston program, he oversaw the educational programs of CUME and the emerging programs in downtown Boston, including Masters and Doctor of Ministry degrees. Dr. Padilla is an ordained minister in the PCUSA. He holds professional memberships in the American Academy of Religion, the Society of Biblical Literature, and the Asociacion para la Educacion Teologica Hispana.

For almost three decades he has served in the church as well as traveled extensively around the world stirring in hearts everywhere a passion for God’s presence and a powerful grace awakening. Along with his busy traveling schedule, he is currently on staff as a worship leader at Free Chapel under Pastor Jentezen Franklin (9 years). Tony is also a songwriter, having written for worship

leaders and recording artists such as Israel Houghton, Micah Massey, Ricardo Sanchez, CeCe Winans, The Katinas, Mandisa, Phillips-Craig and Dean, David and Nichole Binion, and many others. Tony lives in North Atlanta with his beautiful wife of 25 years, Sherri, and their two amazing children, Anna (13) and Asher (18). Kevin SeatonKevin is the Worship & Creative Arts Pastor at Antioch Church in Overland Park, Kansas. He has been in full time worship ministry for 26 years. He oversees musicians, vocalists, dance and drama, as well as recruitment and training for these areas. He and his wife, Janet, have a passion and a zeal for raising up new worship leaders, mentoring the next generation, and promoting the power of the local church. He has produced and directed

three worship albums, taught worship in schools, and led worship for conferences and retreats across America and Europe. Kevin has earned a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Lee University and lives by the mission statement, “Make something out of nothing!” Since 1999, Kevin and Janet have built a thriving and growing community of worshipers at Antioch Church. They enjoy life with their two married daughters and son-in-laws.

Dr. John Christopher Thomas, Ph.D.Dr. Thomas has been a member of the full-time faculty of the Pentecostal Theological Seminary since 1982 and the director of the Centre for Pentecostal and Charismatic Studies at Bangor University. Dr. Thomas has been honored for his work in New Testament scholarship by election into membership of the Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas and his appointment as the Clarence J. Abbott Professor of Biblical Studies at the Pentecostal

Theological Seminary. He has published articles in several leading international journals devoted to study of the New Testament. He also serves as editor of the Journal of Pentecostal Theology (Brill), the Journal of Pentecostal Theology Supplement Series (Deo), and serves as general editor of the Pentecostal Commentary Series (Deo). He has also served as associate pastor of the Woodward Avenue Church of God in Athens, Tennessee, since 1981. Dr. Thomas has been a guest lecturer or visiting lecturer at a variety of educational institutions on five continents. He is married to Barbara and they have two daughters, Paige Thomas Scaperoth and Lori Thomas Brown, and two sons-in-law, David Scaperoth and Chad Brown.

Dr. Lee Roy Martin, D.Th.Dr. Martin has taught at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary since 1992. He served as a Church of God pastor from 1977–2004 and was ordained in 1983. He also served as a district overseer, state youth and CE Board member, state council member, state director of ministerial development, and state Ordination Board member. His writings include the following books: Biblical Hermeneutics (also available in Spanish), Jonah and the God of Grace, The

Unheard Voice of God: A Pentecostal Hearing of the Book of Judges, and An Introduction to Biblical Hebrew. Dr. Martin serves as editor of the Journal of Pentecostal Theology and as president of The Society for Pentecostal Studies. He is married to the former Karen Arlene Luke and they have two sons, one daughter, and two grandchildren.

Dr. John WagenveldFounder/PresidentDr. Wagenveld was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but moved at two years old to serve with his family in Argentina. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French. He received a B. A. in Theology from Dordt College and an M. A. in Missions and Church Growth at Calvin Theological

Seminary. He recently received his Doctorate in Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Dr. Wagenveld has authored the book, Wholistic Church Growth, which was published in Spanish. He also compiled and edited Planting Healthy Churches.

Tim MaxwellVice President/CFO Tim was born in West Africa to missionary parents. He lived in five countries where his parents were “impassioned to serve the lay leaders of the church, training them in the Scriptures to be reproducing Christ-followers.” This mission resonates in Tim’s heart; he now serves national leaders in over 30 countries. His experience includes serving with Capin

Crouse & Co., English Language Institute/China, Mission Aviation Fellowship, Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, and Bible League International.

Dr. Gary TejaInternational Program DirectorDr. Gary Teja has dedicated his career to the growth of God’s church around the world. He has over 40 years of experience at CRWM, CRC Publications, Christian Reformed Home Missions, Kuyper College, and Bible League International. He has also written over 29 publications. One of his primary responsibilities is to assist the organization’s global staff

in staying “on vision” as they maintain and grow relationships with MNM’s ministry partners.

Dr. Juan Carlos MeloLatin America DirectorDr. Melo, his wife Sara, and their two children, Samuel and Sharon, are missionaries for the Finnish churches for Ibero-America (FIDA International), and has over 30 years of missionary experience. He has planted churches in both Finland and Ecuador. Currently, he leads MNM’s programs with strategic partners to undertake and strengthen

the processes of planting more churches and developing stronger churches in Ibero-America.

Michael Sillah Africa DirectorMichael lives in Mwanza, Tanzania, with his wife, Neema, and their son, Brightness. Michael graduated from Mwanza Assemblies of God Bible College with a degree in Bible and Church Ministry. He is the pastor of a local church as well. Michael has a passion for serving others and training leaders to plant more churches, which he does faithfully to

strengthen the presence of the Christian church in Africa.

Dr. Thomas has been a guest lecturer or visiting lecturer at a variety of educational institutions on five continents. He is married to Barbara and they have two daughters, Paige Thomas Scaperoth and Lori Thomas Brown, and two sons-in-law, David Scaperoth and Chad Brown.

Dr. Lee Roy Martin, D.Th.Dr. Martin has taught at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary since 1992. He served as a Church of God pastor from 1977–2004 and was ordained in 1983. He also served as a district overseer, state youth and CE Board member, state council member, state director of ministerial development, and state Ordination Board member. His writings include the following books: Biblical Hermeneutics (also available in Spanish), Jonah and the God of Grace, The

Unheard Voice of God: A Pentecostal Hearing of the Book of Judges, and An Introduction to Biblical Hebrew. Dr. Martin serves as editor of the Journal of Pentecostal Theology and as president of The Society for Pentecostal Studies. He is married to the former Karen Arlene Luke and they have two sons, one daughter, and two grandchildren.

Dr. John WagenveldFounder/PresidentDr. Wagenveld was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but moved at two years old to serve with his family in Argentina. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French. He received a B. A. in Theology from Dordt College and an M. A. in Missions and Church Growth at Calvin Theological

Seminary. He recently received his Doctorate in Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Dr. Wagenveld has authored the book, Wholistic Church Growth, which was published in Spanish. He also compiled and edited Planting Healthy Churches.

Tim MaxwellVice President/CFO Tim was born in West Africa to missionary parents. He lived in five countries where his parents were “impassioned to serve the lay leaders of the church, training them in the Scriptures to be reproducing Christ-followers.” This mission resonates in Tim’s heart; he now serves national leaders in over 30 countries. Dr. Juan Carlos MeloLatin America DirectorDr. Melo, his wife Sara, and their two children, Samuel and Sharon, are missionaries for the Finnish churches for Ibero-America (FIDA International), and has over 30 years of missionary experience. He has planted churches in both Finland and Ecuador. Currently, he leads MNM’s programs with strategic partners to undertake and strengthen

Michael Sillah Africa DirectorMichael lives in Mwanza, Tanzania, with his wife, Neema, and their son, Brightness. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRIES

Leadership Development and Discipleship Ministries involves four ministry departments that are teaming up to equip God-called servant leaders for the global church.

• Tomlinson Center is launching Global Schools for Biblical and Ministerial Studies, while maintaining partnerships with Lee University’s Division of Adult Learning (online) and Certificate in Ministry Studies (CIMS).

• Center for Biblical Leadership (CBL) is developing leaders through its School of Advanced and Practical Studies (SOPAS) and the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary Consortium.

• International Children’s Ministries Department provides ministry training and leadership development for children’s ministers through ICM, One Day trainings, and IMPACT! curriculum.

Leadership Development and Discipleship Ministries involves four ministry departments that are teaming up to equip God-called servant leaders for the global church.

• International Children’s Ministries Department provides ministry training and leadership development for children’s ministers through ICM, One Day trainings, and IMPACT! curriculum.

• CBL is open to invitations through the presiding bishops to come to their respective areas.

• From its inception in April 2009 through April 2014, SOPAS has held 190 schools around the world with over 18,000 in attendance.

Gordon-Conwell/Church of God of Prophecy Consortium

• A partnership between the Church of God of Prophecy and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, one of the top four seminaries in the U.S., Gordon-Conwell is non-denominational with roots in the Holiness Movement.

• Prospective students without a B.A. degree, but possessing ministerial experience, may enroll in the preliminary diploma program.

• Persons with an accredited B.A. may apply for direct acceptance into the program leading to a Master of Arts in Religion (60 credit hours).

• The Consortium currently meets at various sites: Alabama, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Bahamas, Jamaica, and Honduras. There are approximately 280 active students enrolled.

Leader of Leaders Program

• A special educational track for presiding bishops/nominees, which is an enlargement of the Gordon-Conwell/COGOP Consortium. Studies lead to a Master of Arts in Religion with emphasis in Christian Leadership.

• In 2013 the Leader of Leaders Track met in 6 areas: Africa, Asia, Europe, Unites States (North America & English Caribbean), Dominican Republic, and South America. Over 200 students are currently enrolled.

May 2013: 19 COGOP students were awarded Master of Arts degrees from Gordon-Conwell!

Doctor of Ministry Program

• Enrollment has begun for the Global Pentecostalism Doctor of Ministry (D Min) track with Gordon-Conwell. The first session is scheduled for January 2015 in the Dominican Republic. This is another new and exciting development between the Church of God of Prophecy and Gordon-Conwell.

• D. Min. candidates needing equivalency credits began taking the necessary courses in November of 2013 in preparation for the January 2015 startup.

ACTS/COGOP Asia/Africa Consortium • This is a new venture for CBL. In 2013, we initiated a consortium relationship with ACTS, an acronym for Agriculture, Crafts, Trades, and Studies. ACTS is a group of institutions founded by Dr. Ken Gnanakan in India. Schools have been launched in Africa and Asia to provide integrated Bible, theology, and practical education with the aim of making leaders self-sufficient.

INTERPRETACIÓN—Este año ofreceremos interpretación en español, francés y ruso. Todas las interpretaciones se transmitirán por la frecuencia FM, las cuales serán publicadas al comienzo de cada sesión. Tenemos a la venta radios de frecuencias AM/FM en la librería.

ORACIÓN INTERCESORA—Únase a otros intercesores durante la semana para interceder por las sesiones de negocios y de ministración en la Asamblea de este año. Tenemos un salón de oración disponible en el salón St. John’s 34. Usted se puede unir a otros intercesores a cualquier hora durante el día, o puede anotarse para orar en alguna hora en específico durante la semana. Pase por el salón de oración para obtener más información.

OBJETOS PERDIDOS Y ENCONTRADOS—Los artículos encontrados deben ser llevados a la estación de los ujieres. También puede hablar con los ujieres si ha perdido algún artículo.

KIOSCOS DE LOS MINISTERIOS—Los kioscos de los ministerios están ubicados en el Exhibit Hall. Asegúrese de visitarlos y obtener los artículos necesarios antes de salir de la Asamblea.

GUADERÍA—Hay una guardería sin personal disponible en el salón St. John’s 22, y una guardería para párvulos sin personal disponible en el salón St. John’s 23.

ESTACIONAMIENTO—Si se está hospedando en la propiedad de Rosen, el estacionamiento es gratuito con la posibilidad de entrar y salir sin costo. Para aquéllos que se están hospedando en otras propiedades, el estacionamiento cuesta $16 dólares al día con la posibilidad de entrar y salir sin costo adicional.

GRABACIONES DE AUDIO Y VIDEO—Tenemos CD y DVD a la venta, para que pueda llevarse la Asamblea a su casa y gozarse nuevamente en las próximas semanas y meses. Para su conveniencia, hemos incluido una hoja de pedido en este programa. El kiosco de venta está ubicado en el Gatlin Pre-Function Area.

SERVICIO DE AUTOBÚS—El servicio de autobús a los hoteles del área e International Drive está disponible en la entrada Sebastian.

HOMENAJE A LOS MINISTROS FALLECIDOS—Honre la memoria de los ministros que han fallecido desde la última Asamblea. Visite el lugar de homenaje ubicado en el Gatlin Pre-Function Area.

OFICINA DE SERVICIOS FINANCIEROS—Atención, supervisores nacionales, tesoreros nacionales y secretarios de campo. Si necesita reunirse con el personal de contabilidad de las Oficinas Internacionales, puede hacerlo visitando las oficinas ubicadas en el salón St. John’s 24.

PRIMEROS AUXILIOS—Para casos de emergencia, por favor busque un ujier para que le dirija al lugar apropiado.

SERVICIO DE ALIMENTOS—Rosen Shingle Creek tiene una variedad de restaurantes formales e informales, incluyendo el Café Osceola, A Land Remembered, Banrai Sushi, Tobias Flats & Watering Hole, Clubhouse Grill y 18 Monroe Street Market. Bienvenidos a la Asamblea Internacional en la hermosa ciudad de Orlando, Florida. Sentimos que estamos siendo impulsados a un avance del Espíritu Santo en nuestras vidas, en el corazón de esta iglesia, y el mundo al cual hemos sido llamados a servir.

“Avanzar” sugiere algo que va más allá de lo que hemos planificado o podríamos lograr por nosotros mismos. Denota una dinámica del poder de Dios que nos lleva más allá de todas nuestras expectativas, metas y obstáculos para cumplir con Su llamado, visión y plan para nosotros.

Este Dios de avance obró en la vida de David, “Quebrantó Jehová a mis enemigos delante de mí, como corriente impetuosa. Por esto llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Baal-perazim”. Algunos traducen este nombre como el “Señor que irrumpe”. El término es empleado tres veces en este corto pasaje de modo de atraer nuestra atención a la unción de Dios la cual irrumpe como una corriente impetuosa.

Confiamos en que Dios irrumpa en nuestras vidas durante esta Asamblea, para que podamos experimentarlo en Su plenitud por medio de la transformación y la sanidad; equipándonos para avanzar en nuestro llamado de alcanzar a cada cultura antes de Su pronto regreso.
