CELEBRATING THE LORD’S SUPPER Do you believe that you receive the TRUE/REAL BODY & BLOOD of Christ in, with, and under the bread and wine for the full pardon of sins? This is what the Lutheran Church believes. COMMUNION PRACTICE: The Biblical foundation for our practice may be found in Matt. 26:26-28, Mark 14:22-24, Luke 22:19-20, 1 Cor. 11:23-30. Christ has given Holy Communion as a spiritual blessing to His Church. In order to be responsible in sharing God’s gift of Christ and His forgiveness in the Sacrament, our practice is to commune individuals who are baptized and instructed in the Christian faith, normally in the fellowship of a sister Lutheran congregation, and share unity in what we believe, teach, and practice about the Lord’s Supper. If you have answered “no” or don’t know the answer to this question, we respectfully ask that you await discussion with the Pastor before receiving Holy Communion for the first time. Thank you for your consideration. If you are not communing, but would like a blessing, please come forward and just fold your hands.

Opportunities

The Holidays and the spirt of giving are upon us!

You have the opportunity to do two wonderful things at one time, when your purchase Singing Rooster Coffee. First you are helping

to feed the children in Haiti through our mission Trinity Hope. Secondly you will make someone’s day when you give a bag of

coffee as a gift. Please consider purchasing several bags of Singing Rooster Coffee and giving them away. God loves a cheerful giver!

As a reminder we are now offering Hazelnut Flavored coffee. It is receiving rave reviews from our members and professionals in the coffee business. Please purchase a bag for your self and one to give

away to a special friend.

WE NEED A WASHING MACHINE IN EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITION

This request is for Barbara, one of the ladies who is ministered to by Inspiritus (Lutheran Services of TN).

Barbara has been washing clothes in her kitchen sink for months and just wouldn't ask for help. Do you have one you're replacing and can

help this dear woman get out of the sink and into a machine??

If so, please just let Jan Perkinson, Holly Walsh or Lee Compton know, and we'll do the rest. Yet another opportunity for Living, Serving,

Giving. Thank you for helping this sweet lady.

Join us on Saturday, Dec. 7th as we partner with Rebuilding Together Nashville to make needed repairs to a home of a family

in need. Rebuilding Together Nashville is a nonprofit that has provided home repairs to our neighbors in need for over 20 years. To

date they have made meaningful improvements to more than 500 Nashville area homes. Learn more about their work at

www.rtnashville.org.

Our day will begin at 7:45 am and end at 3:00 pm. Anyone age 16 and over is eligible to participate. To sign up, go to the church

website, oslcnashville.org, and click on the events page. You will find the sign up link there. All skill levels are needed.

It’s all about Living, Serving, and Giving for the Lord!!
