We share our canteen with an Irish speaking school.

Our uniform is red and yellow.
It is a lovely uniform. Mr O’ Kane designed
the badge. It is an ancient Irish

during the week sometimes.

This is where our school is. The river is called the
River Foyle. There are three bridges in
our city. This one is called Craigavon bridge.
There are lots of hills in our city.
Derry City Walls
We have cannon on our walls.
They are not used anymore.
You can see them if you come here.
Ferryquay Gate
This is one of the gates in our city walls.
They are the only complete city walls in Europe.
You can walk around the walls.
They are just over 1 mile long.
St Columb’s Cathedral This is where the
people who died in the siege of 1689 are buried.
There are more than 5,000 people buried here.
After the siege many people left to settle in America.
Davy Crockett’s grandparents left from here to go to America.
Amelia Earhart Amelia Earhart was the
first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic.
She landed in Ireland. The place where she
landed is very close to our school.
This picture was taken when she landed in a field at Ballyarnett near Derry.
