CLASS ASSEMBLY

CLASSES - VI A , B , C

THEME - SAVE EARTH

The students of classes VI A, B AND C presented a beautiful presentation on the theme EARTH DAY..’Nurture The Nature’

The message to save earth was well conveyed through - Role play group dance , songs , skits and an interesting NUKKAD NATAKA.....

The main emphasis was laid on the negative effects of pollution and why one should not destroy the bounties of nature. Madam Principal

appreciated the confidence level of the students and the message conveyed.

Investiture ceremony was held on 26.4.17The swearing in ceremony of the newly appointed student council and Prefectorial Board was held in the school on 26.4.17 . The house teachers handed over the flags of their respective houses to Madam Principal which were in turn received by the newly appointed House Prefects.Head boy and head girl Suvarcha Sharma , members of the student council and prefectorial board pledged to uphold the tradition and moral values of the institution and perform their duties with sincerity and dedication.Principal Mrs. Anita Wadehra congratulated the students and expressed hope that hand in hand the Council and Prefectorial Board would help maintain discipline and cleanliness in school and by their efforts bring honour and glory to the school.

HEALTH WALK

A WALK TOWARDS HEALTHY FUTURE...

To mark the occasion of Earth Day , the students of DL DAV PITAMPURA took initiative and marched ahead in the school premises and the

neighborhood to spread awareness regarding the environmental issues like - global warming , scarcity of water , pollution , energy conservation and carbon footprints on our beloved planet Earth.

EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS 2017

The Earth Day activities kindled the fire in young minds to make themselves “eco-kids”. The school organized “Environment Week”

The main aim of the event was to stress and reinforce the need to preserve and conserve nature and its elements.

Various activities were conducted in classes IV,V & VI. The students actively participated in the activities. The activities included Bulletin Board decoration with different themes followed by class activities..

VOC TROVE ACTIVITY 28 APRIL17

With the aim to improve spelling, increase vocabulary, learn concepts, and develop correct English usage Voc Trove activity was conducted on 28 April 2017 for the students of class IV &V. The students who were divided according to their houses solved the given questionnaire with great enthusiasm. All of them participated with great enthusiasm. The activity was enjoyed by the students.

CLASSES 5 AND 6

THEME - TOURISM IN INDIA

.Under the theme “TOURISM IN INDIA” all the five houses at DL DAV PITAMPURA , presented a colorful and musical assembly . The main aim was to modify students’ attitude and behavior and make them comprehend the importance of Indian Culture. It also helped to promote a positive attitude towards our nation and infuse sense of unity among students.The students participated with great Zeal and Enthusiasm. Various States were depicted through the assembly .

Colorful costumes and Informative power point presentations added to the show. All the participants mesmerized the audience with their performance.

FREEDOM HOUSE

Freedom house depicted the diverse culture of Jammu and Kashmir. Students depicted the beauty of the state along with the message that how it is transforming into the burning heaven with the activities of terrorism.

Modesty House

To depict the diversity of Indian traditions and culture modesty house took the viewers on a joyful ride to Jaipur – The Pink City.

Courage House

Courage house conducted its assembly on the topic ‘Gujarat – The Manchester Of India’ wherein they showcased the customs and traditions of vibrant Gujarat. Power point presentations depicted the

Important places of interest of the state.

Enterprise HouseTourism in Madhya Pradesh consists of many religious centres, historical monuments and some of the best wild life sanctuaries. Parks, gardens and lakes are an integral part of tourism in Madhya Pradesh.. The beauty of the state was very well depicted by the short skit presented by the students.

Dignity House

The last state which was beautifully depicted was the state of Punjab . The audience clapped to the beats of Bhangra dance which was performed by the students of Dignity House
