STATIONS OF THE CROSS AND RESURRECTION. The cross is not the end of the story. On Sunday, April 20 through the 50 days of Easter, seven Stations of the Resurrection will mark the risen Christ’s appearances from dawn of the first Easter through the ascension. These new stations are ceramic tiles made from watercolor paintings by local artist and spiritual director, Sylvie Gudin. In addition to the mosaic and watercolor artwork, scripture and reflections accompany each station. These walks through the woods to contemplate Jesus’ journey to the cross and celebrate his resurrection appeal to all ages—children, youth, and adults. Come during daylight hours. Call or text staff at 574-333-1822 for use of a golf cart. See pathwaysretreat.org for photos and more information.

Prayers This week let us keep in our prayers: !Made alive to God in Christ Jesus, let us pray for the church, those in need, and all of God's creation. !O God, in Christ's death and resurrection your church is reborn. Bless your people in every nation: Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, and Pentecostal. Raise us up to witness together, along with our bishops Elizabeth Eaton and Bill Gafkjen (Gufean) and our Pastors John Hickey and Jim Ward, to show and share your undying love for the world. !O God, your faithfulness extends to all the earth. On this Easter morning, we pray for creation. Make us faithful stewards of the beauty you have created around us. As we see the new blossoms of spring each day help us to remember that you are renewing all things in the bright dawning of your love. !O God, the resurrection of your Son means life for every nation. Show us that promise and hope. Heal nations scarred by injustice and greed; give hope to those ravaged by violence, and be with those who protect our freedom especially Nick, Aaron, Mike, Brian, and Jason. !O God, your Son healed all who were oppressed. Bless those who heal and show compassion in Jesus' name, even as we pray for the many among us who are still in need especially those we name now silently or aloud (pause), Jean Bailey, Esther Dunning, Loretta Hathcock, Kathy Johnson, Jill Robinson, Debbie Rostochak, Margaret Saul, Burthelle Schroeder-Pelz, Delores Troyer. For those who are homebound, especially Chic Lantz. For those who are in Senior Living facilities, especially Jurgen Faldoe Sr., Kreig (Craig) King, Betty Kurtz, Mary Louise Laser, Virginia Lieding, Ruth Mast, John Peebles Sr., and Tess Rendleman. !O God, in the waters of baptism you call us by name and raise us to new life in you. Renew our households of the week: Lavon & Ron Herr; Diane & Dave Hess; Andrea, John & Micah Hickey; Betty Hill; Cynthia Hockins; Kay & Paul Hoffmeister and all of us with faith, hope, and love, that we might be Christ's risen body in the world. !O God, we give thanks for the saints whose lives proclaim the victory of your love. With them, give us courage to follow our crucified and risen Lord, until all things are gathered in his name. !Into your hands, O God, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy; through Jesus Christ, our crucified and risen Savior. Amen. !!If you would like to add/remove a name to/from this prayer list, please contact either church office.
