lot). NO BEATS OFF THE BUS!!!• Usage only permitted during non-instructional settings

unless supervising staff says otherwise• NO pictures and/or video-recording

AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

• Must be part of a club or activity• Must be supervised by an advisor or coach at all times• Students may not “wait” for an event to start. All students

must exit the building, take their regularly assigned school bus home and then return for the start of the event.

• Unauthorized Area– Minimum of one Saturday Detention

MEDIA CENTER

• A student must have a signed pass from a classroom teacher in order to visit the Media Center.– Guest teachers, study hall teachers and cafeteria teachers are

not to issue Media Center passes to students.

• Once a student enters the Media Center, they must stay for the entire period.

• All students must sign in and out of the Media Center. • The Media Center is open during the Activity Period on

Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. • Media Center privileges will be revoked for misbehavior.

PRIVILEGES

• Privileges will increase as students progress through grade levels

• School Functions (athletics, activities, and social functions ex: pep rally, volleyball marathon, nerfball, etc.)– Must be eligible to participate

• Based on discipline, grades, and attendance• No Credit Status = No participation

– School rules are in effect– Alcohol/Drug Free

ATTENDANCE

• 11 or more unexcused absences = No Credit Status• Pupils who are on NO CREDIT STATUS WILL NOT BE

eligible for sports, activities, and social functions.• Remember to turn in any parent notes the following day

(absences only).• Remember to turn in any doctor’s notes the following day

as well.• Excused absences: illness, death in the family,

doctor/dentist, court, education opportunity.• FAMILY VACATIONS ARE NOT EXCUSED!

TARDINESS

• Students must sign in at the Main Office upon arrival after the 1st Block late bell rings (7:35 am).

• Parent notes WILL NOT BE accepted for late arrivals.• Lateness Policy:

– Any student signing in after homeroom will not receive credit for the day.

– Lates 1 – 4: Teacher Detention/Warning– Lates 5 – 15: Central Detention for each late– Lates 16 – 20: Saturday Detention for each late– Lates 21 or more: Administrator’s Discretion

Progressive lates can result in Out-of-School Suspension

STUDENT SIGN - OUTS

• Signing out early for any reason that is not excused will result in an unexcused absence from class(s).

• Unexcused absences from class will count towards the 10 unexcused class absences allowed.

• More than 10 unexcused absences from class will result in a student being placed on NO CREDIT STATUS.

• Possible Credit Completion or loss of course credit.• Parent notes will not be accepted. • Students who sign out early will not be permitted to return the same

day without appropriate documentation. • Any student that is 18 years of age or older may sign themselves

out of school early in between classes during passing times only! Any student who signs themselves out during a scheduled class period is subject to discipline.

ELIGIBILITY

• Upperclassmen (grades 10, 11 and 12) must pass six (6) classes (30 credits) in the previous school year to be eligible to compete in the fall.

• Eligibility rules follow freshman guidelines for remaining seasons until graduation occurs.

ELIGIBILITY

Winter Season:

Must pass six (6) classes in the first marking period to be eligible and six (6) classes in the second marking period to remain eligible and complete the season.

Spring Season:

Must pass six (6) classes in the first semester and six (6) classes in the second marking period to be eligible. Students must also pass six (6) classes in the third marking period to remain eligible and complete the season.

• ALL STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN ATHLETICS AND ACTVITIES ARE REQUIRED TO PAY A ONE TIME PARTICIPATION FEE OF $100 PRIOR TO THE FIRST COMPETITION.

• ANY STUDENT RECEIVING FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH ARE EXEMPT.
