Welcome Back to Fall Children’s Sunday School!
9:35 a.m. to 10:35 a.m. Children ages 3 through 6th grade are invited to join us in our new “school year” of Sunday School!
Classes dismiss at 10:35. Parents please come to the classrooms at 10:35 to have your child(ren) dismissed to
you. We are not comfortable releasing children without parents present. Thank you.
This year we are using Cokesbury’s new “Bible Story Basics” curriculum. This 3-year curriculum will take us
from Genesis to Revelations. It is Bible-driven, and provides the basic tools for reading and learning the Bible.
In addition, children will memorize key verses, internalizing God’s Word while having fun with music, games,
puzzles, prayer and more. We are excited to use these new materials to help our children become more
comfortable with the Bible and its messages. Parents – if your child has a Bible or has received a Bible
from church (3rd grade and up), please encourage them to bring the Bible to Sunday school each week!
SEPTEMBER LESSONS - UNIT 1: BEGINNINGS- Sept 1
st - Creation (Genesis 1:1-25)
Sept 8th – God’s Image (Genesis 1:26-2:4a)
Sept 15th
– Adam and Eve (Genesis 2:4b-3:24) Sept 22
nd – Noah (Genesis 6:1-9:17)
Sept 29th
– Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9)

th during the 10:45 am worship service!

Library time will resume September 22nd! We have many Christian themed books and videos
for children to enjoy at home and are grateful to give this opportunity for our families to use
these resources! Please return any materials from home so they can be re-shelved. Thank you!

It would be helpful to have other volunteers willing to serve as part-time helpers and/or substitutes.

Save the dates: Children’s Christmas Program will be Sunday, December 15, 2019 during 10:45 worship.
Program Rehearsal Saturday, December 14th at 9 am followed by craft party at 10 am.
Children’s Sunday school includes: *Music Time each week including Bible story video
*Children sing during 10:45 worship on 3rd
Sunday of the month *Library Time (instead of music) on the 4
th Sunday of the month
*Stewardship opportunity to bring offering each week
