Welcome Back! The Lancaster Performing Arts Center offers School Shows and Workshops to integrate the arts into your curriculum and lesson plans. We have something for every school and student. Imagine what an arts- inspired lesson plan will do for your classroom! Our Arts for Youth program serves every grade level and is aligned with Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The program not only teaches about the arts but also uses music, theatre and dance as a dynamic tool for teaching all core subjects, including math, science, history and literature. LPAC's performances and workshops, complete with lesson plans and study guides, provide an enjoyable, high quality, curriculum-based learning experience for all students. Rapunzel Presented by Missoula Children's Theatre, Inc.Friday, May 5, 2017 • 11 a.m.Grades K-12Would it surprise you to know that the story of Rapunzel happened in France? Well it didn’t really, but our story takes you on a frivolous frolic through the

French countryside. The Ogres garden in the Mushroom patch while the spies Corn and Potato report back to Madame Gothel. Frenchy and his intense friends, the Wood Elves, do their best to help Rapunzel escape the grasp of Madame Gothel. The lost Prince, Rapunzel’s parents and her friends the Unicorns try to help. Just when you think it’s safe to cross the bridge, a Troll and Three Billy Goats Gruff get in the way. It doesn’t help that the Three Bears (or is it four) confuse Rapunzel with Goldilocks and chase her through the forest. The Sleeping BeautyPresented by Antelope Valley BalletFri. & Mon., May 12 and 15, 2017 • 11 a.m.Grades K-12The Sleeping Beauty is often considered the finest achievement of Classical ballet with a grandiose and refined blending of traditional

expressive mime and spectacular dances in a lavish theatrical setting. Tchaikovsky was delighted with the invitation to write the music for a ballet based on Charles Perrault's well-known fairy tale. A baby princess, condemned at her christening by an evil fairy to prick her finger and die on her sixteenth birthday, is saved by the gift of the good Lilac Fairy, who declares the princess will only sleep until awakened by the kiss of a prince. All AFY performances, workshops and comprehensive educational study guides are curriculum based and meet Common Core and State Standards (available on our Arts for Youth page: http://lpac.org/page.php?id=20). POLICIES: Please read carefully prior to making reservations and communicate to chaperones

Intended for school groups of 10 or more. One adult per every 10 students required. To assist with this, for every 10 seats purchased, one chaperone is free.

A minimum of a 10% deposit is required to make a reservation to attend a performance. If your school pays with purchase order, a 10% deposit is not necessary. We do require the P.O. and completed order form to secure your reservation.

While purchase orders are accepted. Full payment is required via credit card, cash, or check within 30 days from the date the order was placed and always before show date.

No refunds and no exchanges. Lack of full payment is NOT considered cancellation. Please make every effort to contact us if you know your group (or some) will not be able to attend.

Performances are for students PK-12 and are not appropriate for infants and toddlers. We understand the challenges in transportation and the need for drivers however, out of courtesy for our audience and performance, we ask that adults with small children utilize our lobby or arrange childcare. Also please keep in mind that all persons must be paid for (infants and toddlers as well.)

Shows begin promptly. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to show time to allow for seating, which is FIRST COME, FIRST SEATED.

A photographer may be present during educational programs and all children may be photographed.
