Vintage letterpress style poster series as part of an awareness campaign project for the National Park service and U.S. Department of the Interior. The parks chosen to be featured were Arches National Park, Joshua Tree National Park, and Yosemite National Park.

All images were personally captured with my Canon T3i and Canon EOS M cameras. Images were taken into Adobe Light-room for processing, then Illustrator for type and logo treat-ments, and finally Photoshop for painting and weathered e�ects to convey a vintage look and feel.

Matte print on 11” x 17” and mounted on heavy card stock. Framed and hung as interior decor.

Vintage National ParkLetterpress Poster Series

Lakeshore Learning Materials is the premier manufacturer of educational materials for elementary programs and early child-hood organizations in the country. These Illustrations were creat-ed for their Gifts for Growing Minds (GGM) catalog and Flex Space Furniture catalog.

As part of the Art Department I was tasked with creating illustrations to aid our catalog designers in communicating concepts to be approved by art directors and the company’s owners. These illustrations further aid our photo studio by giving an accurate framework reguarding angles, scale, and focal length to recreate these scenes in real-life with actual models and physical products.

Conceptual Illustrations

Xplore Magazine editorial design project targeting adventure enthusiats and outdoor lovers alike.

I was responsible for concept and content creation, branding, layout design, and photography.

Photos were taken with my Canon T3i and EOS M cameras, processed in Lightroom, edited in Photoshop, designed with body copy and type treatments in Illustrator, then assembled for print in InDesign. Spreads were printed and personally assembled, and trimmed by hand.

Xplore Magazine

Craft beer company project featuring custom company logo, individual beer style logo variations, beer bottle labels, and bottle carrier packaging.

Utilizing a base frog logo, four unique beer style logos were created to celebrate their whimsy & individuality while maintain-ing brand cohesiveness.

All art and packaging were designed from scratch in illustrator then printed and personally assembled by hand.

Wellness U was created in 2017 as a campaign to bring aware-ness about wellness to CSUDH students. An entire identity was designed to help convey the campaign’s message and appeal to the target audience based on careful research and multiple revisions.

I was part of a team of student designers, Cynthia Arias and Estevan Gutierrez, and was responsible for organizing group meetings outside of the classroom, delegating creative tasks, and maintaining overall brand cohesiveness.

I was also responsible for creating the following Wellness U deliverables: static and animated logos, main icons (button pins), and infographic brochure. All designs and illustrations were created in Illustrator.

Illustration is my greatest strength and passion. The pieces on this spread were all created digitally on Photoshop and Illustra-tor using primarily the Pen Tool and a graphic tablet.

These are a mixure of personal pieces as well as freelance commissions via the internet correspondence and personal referral. I worked closely with the clients providing constant communication to obtain approvals, ensure artistic vision is achieved, and that client satisfaction is met.

CSUDH show fliers created for theatre productions and campus events. I worked closely with show directors and event sta� to illustrate show artwork to be featured as part of their marketing and publicity in both print and online social media.

Travel and exploration are deep passions for me, especially of our natural areas. I enjoy taking my camera places to capture views seldom seen that some would consider exhaust-ing or even dangerous in its pursuit. I especially enjoy nights-cape astrophotography that requires remote locations at the darkest hours of the night.

The following images were captured with my Canon EOS M and Sony A6300 mirrorless cameras with two main lenses: Rokinon 12mm f/2 wide and Sony 55-210mm telephoto. All images were processed and edited using Adobe Lightroom Classic CC and Adobe Photoshop CC.
