General Information
Summer@Avenues aims to provide fun and unique opportunities to foster the growth of Avenues students over the
summer break. We are pleased to offer a variety of project-based programs at our Shenzhen campus. All of our programs
are led by experienced educators, either Avenues faculty or Avenues trusted partners. We will both offer enrichment
camps and language immersion camps. All of our program offerings are guided by the Avenues mission to develop
students who are “truly fluent in a second language; aware that their behavior makes a difference in our ecosystem; and
most importantly, architects of lives that transcend to the ordinary.”
Enrichment Camp programs are available for students currently in Small World through Grade 1, Monday through Friday
between 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m from June 28–July 9. Families can either choose a full-day or half-day program every week.
English Immersion Camp prepares campers to be future leaders with a sustainability and global mindset. Programs are
available for students currently in nursery through Grade 1, Monday through Friday between 9:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. There
will be two sessions from July 12–July 23, then from July 26–August 6 and students can enroll in one or both two sessions.
PlayLab is extended care available from afternoon dismissal to 6:00 p.m. for all campers. Campers can sign up for the
program on a weekly basis. Activities offered during this time include art, sports, group games and outdoor play.

Program Information
Students tackle the global sustainable development goal of “Sustainable Cities and Communities.” Space exploration
is a vital part in building sustainable economy. Students will explore space travel in a relatively structured manner, from
hands-on making rocket launchers to creating mini telescopes.
P. 9
Program Information
Students tackle the global sustainable development goal of “Zero Hunger.” Nearly 8.9% of the world population are
still suffering from hunger and the world is not on track to achieve Zero Hunger by 2030. The camp aims to promote
students’ understanding towards sustainable agriculture by reinventing food supply chain, from designing self-watering
farms to building eco-friendly compost.
Program Information
The multisports program introduces students aged from 3.5–4.5 to the components of fitness and the different ways they
can control their body, through a variety of activities and games centered around one daily component. By engaging in
these activities, students will also partake in a combination of individual and team exercises that not only train the skill,
but also introduces them to collaborative learning. Students will compete in teams and learn how to work and solve
problems, and work together to achieve a goal, as well as attain teamwork and communication skills. Our activity-based
project will primarily focus on these two objectives, but through our program, students also develop a natural love and
appreciation for physical activity and playing sports.

Program Information
Students tackle the global sustainable development goal of “Life on Land.” 30% of the known animal species are at
risk of extinction. We aim to help develop a scientific mindset by exploring biodiversity from raising caterpillars into
butterflies to creating sanitation soap for disease prevention.
P. 12
Program Information
Students tackle the global sustainable development goal “Clean Water and Sanitation.” Today, 1 in 3 people worldwide do
not have access to safe drinking water. Students form interdisciplinary scientific connections by tackling water pollution
from raising tadpoles and frogs to building mini pollution filters.
Program Information
Students between the ages of 4.5–6 are still in the early years stage of their physical development journey, but are more
likely to have greater understanding of group learning settings and environments. Students are, however, still learning
how to control or even move their body when participating in physical activity. Building on the components of fitness
remains paramount, however their relative experience in working within groups at an older age allows us to introduce a
layer of complexity through sport specific skill acquisition and team play.

provide our campers an unforgettable experiences in an encouraging English language environment, we introduce
project-based theme camp in which campers can acquire second language through diversified activities (e.g. arts and
crafts, music, storytelling, movement, free play, field trip, family day, challenges and more) and have a lot of fun. We will
provide campers with daily lunch and two snacks.
-July 12 – 23 | Dinosaur Camp: Sustainability is the design and development of systems that meet the needs of
the present without compromising the needs of the future. The Dinosaur themed camp focuses on the environmental
development based on dinosaurs to maintain a truly sustainable world.
-July 26 – August 6 | World Art Camp: Global mindset refers to an openness to and understanding of diversity
across cultures and countries. People with a global mindset view cultural and geographic diversity as opportunities for
exchange and mutual learning, and are prepared to adopt successful practices and good ideas wherever they may come
from. The World Art camp focuses on the exploration of world art and creates personal or collaborative masterpieces
based on student interests and passion.

natural world to solve real-life problems. In this project, students will explore the structures and behaviors of animals
that protect them from danger or otherwise increase their chance of survival. By performing observations, constructing
explanations, and building on past experiences, students design nature-inspired solutions to a student-identified problem
faced by humans.
-July 26 – August 6 | Building/City Project: It’s important for our students to learn and love their own city and culture to be
