In Conclusion
There is no “standard regimen” for individuals with chronic conditions
Trainers must utilize a variety of resources, program designs and suggestions for workouts to be tolerable and effective for the client
Clients should be encouraged to “own” their own health and decisions
The rapport developed and maintained by a trainer with a client is a key indicator as to whether or not a person will continue with the Weight Management program
Success for a Weight Management participant does not necessarily look like a number on a scale or a clothing size
Every workout session is a challenge to the trainer as well as the participant! Take advantage of this challenge as an opportunity to become more creative with your program designs, modifications, coaching skills and professionalism.
