Parent Child Dedication If you are interested in having your child dedicated on Sunday, May 12, 2019, please contact the church office. A frequently asked question is “how much do cemetery plots cost?” Bethesda members are not charged, however there are charges for non-members. If you have other questions regarding the cemetery, please contact Mark Friesen, Bethesda Sexton. Throughout spring, the K-6 Midweek classes worked on creating artwork to serve as church visuals based on the stories we read about Jesus. The hope is that they will each have their turn at the front of the church when they relate to the sermon, but for now they are being showcased in the display cases across from Pastor Andrea's office. Please stop by and take a look; the kids did a great job! A Pastor Search Committee has been put together with the following individuals: Linda Goertzen, Board of Deacons representative, Norm Yoder, Congregational Moderator, Homer Friesen, Church Council representative, Steve Michel, Blaine Friesen, Daphne Hall, Marcia Regier, and Sondra Buller. June 3-7, 2019 Vacation Bible School “Who is My Neighbor?” Neighbors are more than the people who live next door. Neighbors are more than the people in our families or communities. Through five New Testament stories, this year's VBS will lead children on a journey to discover more about God's great love. From looking at how to be a neighbor to diving into what it means to live out our faith, this series will lead kids deeply into Bible stories focused on God's care and compassion for neighbors close at hand and around the world. Join us as we discover neighbors near and far!

If you need help registering your child, contact Christa Janzen at 574-304-7948. *If you want to be guaranteed a t-shirt for your child, you must register by May 22. We need volunteers! If you would like to help out with this important children's ministry, please follow the registration directions below. Even if you can't commit to all 5 days, there is still a place for you to help! Just mark the days you can help on the registration form. *ALL volunteers must register online, even if you filled out a paper form earlier in the year.

Central Plains Mennonite Conference

The Annual Meeting of Central Plains Mennonite Conference will be held June 20-23, 2019, at Iowa Mennonite School, Kalona, Iowa, with the theme “A Covenant People: Living in the Holy Spirit.” Registration forms and packet information are located on the table outside the church office. If you are interested in attending as a delegate, please sign up on the east bulletin board or call the church office. According to the By Laws each congregation is entitled to an amount of delegates equal to its membership divided by 50, and rounded up to the nearest whole number. Bethesda would be entitled to 20 delegates. Each adult registering needs to fill out a registration form. Online registration and payment by credit card are available as well. Registration prices increase significantly on June 1, so be sure to register early!

The end of the fiscal year is near! The Central Plains Conference fiscal year ends on April 30 and we would welcome and be thankful for any contributions to arrive prior to the end of this date to help us end on a positive note. CORNERSTONE (junior high) will meet for our final time Wednesday, April 24. We will meet at the church at 6:00 p.m. for pizza and then leave at 6:30 p.m. to go bowling in York. We will arrive home between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. Youth can bring money for snacks at the bowling alley. Please make sure you have filled out the Trip Permission form online at http://bethesdamc.org/bulletinsresources/child-protection-forms in order for your child to attend.

Powerhouse (high school) will meet Wednesday, April 24, at 7:00 p.m. to prepare to lead worship for Graduation Sunday April 28, 2019.

High school youth are invited following worship today to meet in the Crossroads Coffee House for a fun project to use in worship on Graduation Sunday, April 28.

Your child/children are invited to attend Swan Lake Christian Camp at NO CHARGE this summer through a gift from Bethesda’s South Fellowship Hall Sunday school class! *When registering your child for camp, check the appropriate church scholarship amount. Bethesda Mennonite Church will be billed at the end of the summer for those who attended. Registration for camp is available online. Please go to www.myslcc.com and register by May 1 to receive a free t-shirt. Bethesda’s Permission for Medical Treatment and Transportation forms are also available online at www.bethesdamc.org. Click the MINISTRIES tab and go to SWAN LAKE CHRISTIAN CAMP.

The church office is the drop off location for these forms. This is

the only way the office staff has of knowing that your child will

be attending camp and possibly need transportation.

If you do not have access to a printer, hard copies of these

church office before departing for camp.

All drivers must fill out a Driving History/Release Form (found at
