Mass Testing Events:

Sandy Henley, Assistant Director, Plumas CountyPublic Health Agency

COVID-19 continues to surge in California.

Counties with rates of new cases,

hospitalizations, and measures of hospital

capacity beyond certain limits are placed on

the State’s Monitoring List. Those on the list

must close more businesses, such as gyms

and hair salons, and could limit other

activities; such as in-person school.

Plumas County is not currently on the list, but

could be put on it if 20 cases occur within 14

days; or, if more than 8% of total people

tested have positive results and just 5 new

cases occur in a week.  We will also be put on

it if hospitalizations increase by more than

10%, or if more than 75% of ventilators in our

hospitals are in use.

It is up to each Plumas County resident to

take personal responsibility for keeping

Plumas safe and healthy. Together, we can do

this by continuing to use face coverings,

physically distancing, hand washing, and

minimizing mixing with people outside our

immediate households.

mantener a Plumas seguro y saludable. Juntos,

podemos hacer esto al continuar usando

cubrevocas para la cara, distanciamiento físico,

lavado de manos y minimizando mesclarse con

personas fuera de nuestros hogares inmediatos.
