As a nation, we expressed the importance of voting and letting each voice be heard, with the highest voter turnout in modern history. The election also resulted in historic wins for individuals typically underrepresented in political positions, including Kamala Harris becoming the first woman of color to be elected Vice President of the United States. Arguably, these diverse politicians impact our youth's ability to realize their full potential and open the door to vast career possibilities. From an education perspective, I am hopeful that these historic moments promote our students to be active participants in the democratic process and encourage them to dream big. During a time filled with so many possibilities, I am excited to work alongside our excellent teachers to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to achieve their future dreams - without established or perceived limitations. Thank you to our parents/guardians and families for nurturing our students in their pursuit of accomplishing their personal goals. On a lighter note, please be reminded that we do not have school this Wednesday for Veterans' Day. As such, Monday will be a Cycle 78 day and Tuesday will be a Cycle 56 day.
