Just over 500 hoggs this week, met a strong trade for the heavies but the 42 to 47kgs were harder to move.

M/s J Hanson & Son their Texel X to £105.00, Hogshaw Sheep sold to £98.00. M/s Randall, Swanbourne

Estate and Giles Philp all sold at £95.00. James Gibson sold to £93.50. Richard Haynes sold his Beltex X to

198p/kg. Charlie Randall followed at 188p/kg for Texel X while Norman Deeley had 185p/kg for Charollais X.

A pleasing entry for the end of May. Trade remains strong for all as the cattle get younger. Philip Misselbrook

took top steer honours at £1050.00 for his 13/14 month Aberdeen Angus X, Philips second pen sold at

£1008.00, Mrs Payne from Billingshurst sold her Limousin X steer 14 months at £1045.00, Andrew Lake

followed at £958.00. British Blue X from Mrs Payne sold at £970.00, M/s Redman £940.00 and Andrew Lake

£925.00 all 12-14 months.

A pen of smart red Limousin X heifers from Mrs Payne sold at £988.00 just piping the best of Rob Lawrence’s

Aberdeen Angus at £975.00. Richard Wynn had Herefords at £935.00 while M/s Stacey sold Simmental X at

£925.00.

Grazing Cows sold to £950.00 for Simmental X. British Blue X sold to £940.00.

In calf cows sold to £1158.00 for British Blue X heifers from WJ & M Mash Ltd, M/s Ivory sold older cows to

£950.00.

A reduction of British Blue X cows with Limousin calves from M/s Mash sold to £1540.00, £1490.00, £1460.00,

£1400.00 and £1360.00.

Limousin stock bulls sold to £2470.00.
