Fellow Rotarians:
This Saturday was the District 6980 Leadership meeting with our District Governor Jo
Weber. The next six months are going to be very busy!!
Of course our focus must be on the Spring Fest 2015 on April 17, 18 and 19.
We need every member stepping up to help with their experience, contacts and time. With
everyone doing a little the event will be fun. The first prioritity now is to get sponsors and
sell the tickets for Friday night.
The big news at District is our Rotary International President Gary Haung is visiting our District for two days
March 13 & 14. There is a full agenda with many chances to meet our President. I will send a full agenda out
soon but the biggest event will be the Lake County Golden Triangle Clubs are hosting the 13th
annual Central
Florida Dragon Boat Festival. This sounds like a really great event and our club has plenty of ways to
participate. They were also very receptive to bringing a dragon boat to our Spring Fest.
The 2014 -2014 District Conference will be at the Mission Inn in Howey in the Hills on May 1 & 2. DG Jo
Weber is expectig us to particiapte in a Golf Torunament, Kentucky Derby Party and a square dance to name a
few activities planned. The theme is East meets West. Again more information to come.
This coming Saturday Darrell will be in Pesident Elect Training and The Orlando Boat Show is on. I have been
delivering invitation packages to all the boat dealers in Central Florida. Anyone wishing to join us to attend the
Boat Show and talk to Boat Dealers please see Gregg Plouff or me.

Spring Festival
April 17 – 19
The Pines at Windermere
Put it on your calendar now!!!
Rotary Club of Windermere Spring Festival – Members Call to Action
Our biggest, highest profile, and most profitable fundraiser of the year is coming up, April 17-
19. We need every member to get involved. It will be a great event for our community, our
charities and Rotary exposure.
Involvement is simple and comes in several forms. The most important priority is securing
sponsors. Sponsors can participate at three levels: $2,500, $5,000 and $10,000. Exhibitors can
participate at several levels as well. Promotion materials and details are on the event website –
www.windermereevents.com. If you haven’t been on it, please check it out today.
The Spring Fest team has created the attached sponsor and exhibitor prospect list. Please
review it and see if you have contacts or business with any of them.
You probably know many others that are not on the list. Please email Frank Krens with leads
you are willing to contact and whether they are on the attached list.
Frank is the Prospect Gatekeeper. If a contact has not already been contacted, Frank will send
you marketing materials and a marketing script. Once your contact has verbally committed,
Spring Fest will handle the rest. It is that easy. A phone call to your prospect, or a meeting with
them is all you need to do.
This Tuesday, January 13, our Spring Fest team will present. Louis Acosta and Posh Able will
go through some marketing tips and lessons learned to date. The team will address any
questions you have.
This is a very critical event and we appreciate everyone’s efforts.
Thank you.
