From Easter to Pentecost our readings focus on the early apostolic preaching of the Good News of salvation and on the promises of Jesus to his disciples, especially his promise of his Holy Spirit. Today's readings explain who the Holy Spirit is, what His roles are, and how we can experience Him in our daily lives. The purpose of the indwelling Holy Spirit is to help us grow towards maturity and wholeness. We all have faults that prevent our growth: blocks of sin and imperfection, blocks due to childhood conflicts, blocks due to deeply ingrained personality traits and habits, blocks caused by addictions, and blocks resulting from bad choices we have made. God, the Holy Spirit, helps us see the truth about ourselves, to discern the blocks that inhibit our growth and to allow Him to transform us. God’s Spirit actually lives in us, and we hear the voice of the Spirit, counseling and guiding us in the way of truth. Let us open the ears of our minds to hear Him and to obey His promptings. Fr. De Pascua a Pentecostés, nuestras lecturas se centran en la predicación apostólica temprana de la Buena Nueva de la salvación y en las promesas de Jesús a sus discípulos, especialmente en su promesa de su Espíritu Santo. Las lecturas de hoy explican quién es el Espíritu Santo, cuáles son Sus funciones y cómo podemos experimentarlo en nuestra vida diaria. El propósito del Espíritu Santo que habita es ayudarnos a crecer hacia la madurez y la integridad. Todos tenemos defectos que impiden nuestro crecimiento: bloques de pecado e imperfección, bloqueos debidos a conflictos infantiles, bloqueos debido a rasgos y hábitos de personalidad profundamente arraigados, bloques causados por adicciones y bloques resultantes de malas decisiones que hemos tomado. Dios, el Espíritu Santo, nos ayuda a ver la verdad sobre nosotros mismos, a discernir los bloques que inhiben nuestro crecimiento y a permitirle transformarnos. El Espíritu de Dios realmente vive en nosotros, y escuchamos la voz del Espíritu, aconsejándonos y guiándonos en el camino de la verdad. Nocona All are invited to join in praying the rosary 30 minutes

before Mass. St. Joseph’s Financial Council will meet on Friday, May 15th at 6:00 pm. Please mark your calendar. We will meet in the Parish Hall with distance being used.

ALL FINANCIAL COUNCIL MEETINGS ARE IMPORTANT. WE WILL BE REVIEWING AND VOTING ON THE BUDGET FOR 2020-2021. PLEASE RSVP. SEE DATES MASS & EUCHARIST UPDATE – FIRST PHASE OF OPENING: 1.Masses are now resuming at regular times with social distancing being used along with wearing a mask as well. This is a must. There will be limit of filling up the church since distancing is being used. 2. Confession is still the same times; after or before Mass, Wednesday or by appointment. 3. The current state of the pandemic is such that the faithful are still dispensed from the obligation to attend and to participate in Sunday Mass. Please watch on Facebook or at our Website the Sunday Mass in Henrietta (live at 8:00 am or saved for later) or on EWTN (7:00 am). 4. Eucharist will be given in the hands a long with the line using 6 ft. of social distancing. Also, you may stay in your car with communion being brought out after Mass to you at your car. This will be at every church. Please watch the Mass (from Henrietta) on Facebook or website in your car. If you do not receive communion please say the Prayer for Spiritual Communion as in the bulletin. 5. Collections will not be passed or handled among the people. There will be a locked safety box at the back of the church to put your collection in.

Montague There is a need for food items for the Christ Can

mission. On a continuous basis food goods will be collected weekly and given to the mission. Thank you for your help on this food drive. St William’s Finance Council will meet on Monday, May 18th at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall with Social Distance being used. Please mark your calendars – Please RSVP.

Henrietta Please join the breakfast potluck every Sunday after

Mass. All are invited. St. Mary’s Altar Society meets on the 1st Sunday of the month right after Mass All women are invited to attend. Altar Society meetings on hold at this time.

Parish Information

Scholarships – The Knights of Columbus are currently accepting applications from Seniors for scholarship. You will need to send in an essay telling about yourself. This includes grades, extra activities, goals for your future, what college you will be attending; and, also how you will follow your faith while attending college. Make sure you include your mailing address and current phone number. Please get these to any knight that you know.
