Sympathy We extend our sympathy to Gabriel & Neitra Gutierrez and family at the passing of Neitra’s grandmother, Louise Jones. Mrs. Jones passes away last Saturday morning. Neitra’s address is 4305 CR 262, Henderson, TX 75652.
We also want to express our sympathy to the family of Bob Boyd who passed away Monday night. The Boyd family were South Main members for many years. Guest Speaker Britt Davis from the Tri-C (Christian Campus Center) at Kilgore College will be our guest speaker for our even-ing worship tonight. Join us at 5 PM in the Fellowship Hall.

Faith at Home
At a recent conference of churches focused on equipping parents to teach faith at home, I heard an in-teresting statistic: On average, across all major Christian churches, 70% of Christians say they made some kind of con-scious decision to pursue the Christian faith before age 13. If they don’t make an intentional decision about the future of their own faith by then, there is only a 6% chance that they ever will. Then, consider the sobering reality that these studies show that less than half of all children raised in the church remain active believers as adults. It is easy to assume that our churches must be doing something wrong, but, the real solution is not in the church. It is in the home. God told the Israelites that the only way to ensure that their children would love Him was to impress His word upon them. “Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up,” He said. (Deuteronomy 6:7) Paul testified to the success of that strategy when he reminded Timothy of his own upbringing. (2 Timothy 1:5) As we return to a renewed auditorium, let us not forget that the center of our faith journey is not here, but in the home. I encourage everyone - from parent, to grandparents, to Watchman - to visit our HomeFront Center each Sunday morning to discover new resources and to be equipped to teach faith in your own home.

Arms of Hope Grocery Items The Arms of Hope grocery truck will be here the week of March 21-25. Requested items are mustard, ranch dressing, canned chicken, cake frosting, and toilet paper. You can also make an online donation to help with the expense of perishable food items such as dairy, produce and meats. This can be done on their website ArmsofHope.org.
