Nissan doubles Micra production; order backlog at 2500 units

Japanese car major Nissan doubled production of its car Micra to 500 units per day in order to clear backlog of 2500 units.

Micra is priced between Rs 3.98 lakh and Rs 5.29 lakh.

Apple TV a first step for more ambitious plans?

Critics hoping for more from Apple Inc's Web-to-TV plans -- a device, say, that would revolutionize living room entertainment the way the iPod changed tablet computing -- may just need to wait a bit longer.

Shortly after Apple unveiled its latest Apple TV product on Wednesday, complaints surfaced from some circles that the company had failed to live up to its own high standards. The device is smaller and cheaper than the one it brought out in 2006, but it also has shortcomings.

Rishad Premji is Wipro's new strategy boss

Rishad Premji, one of the heirs to Azim Premji’s nearly $17-b empire, will get a chance to prove his management mettle at the top echelons of Wipro after he was appointed chief strategy officer of India’s third-biggest software services exporter.

The 33-year-old Rishad, widely perceived as Mr. Premji’s successor at Wipro, will chart future strategy, identify new business areas and help draw up a vision plan. He will report to the joint CEOs, Suresh Vaswani and Girish Paranjpe.
