Stewardship is about more than money.I know it doesn't seem that way att imes as we work to discern our futureas a congregation and how to fund it .But our Scripture passages from Joband Mark this week reveal that ourperspect ive and priorit ies play animportant role in the church as well.
God challenges Job's perspect ive andgives him what we Southerner's refer toas a "good tongue lashing." The Gospellesson features disciples James andJohn, also in need of some perspect iveand an adjustment of priorit ies as thetwo ask Jesus for favored status amongthe 12.
While Jesus's response is not as harsh asGod's address to Job they both seem tobe asking the quest ion "Who do youthink you are?" It 's a legit imate quest ionboth then and now.

•After next week, our children will singagain in worship on November 18th.Pract ices will take place at 9:30 am inthe choir room on the mornings ofNovember 11th and the 18th.
