SUPPORT PROPOSAL
The NATIONAL UNION OF LAGOS STATE STUDENTS (UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS
CHAPTER) plans to organize a 3-day programme tagged “EKO WEEK”. This programme is aimed
at promoting socio-cultural identity, and academic development of Lagos State through constructive
participation of the students. The EKO WEEK programme is also aimed at promoting the New Face
of Lagos Youth, educated, clean and upwardly mobile Re orientation of the Youth to redirect their
vision and goals and to give them hope for sustainable self-development. The programme is expected to enlighten an estimated 5,000 Lagosians in the University and its
environs.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF UNILAG NULASS FOR THE EKO WEEK PROGRAMME
The overall vision of the national union of Lagos State students (University of Lagos chapter) is
summarized in the following statement;
UNILAG NULASS works to promote the social, intellectual, and cultural heritage of Lagos
State as well as the general wellbeing of her members.
The association is set to achieve this through;
Promoting the good image of the State
Providing her members a healthy environment for the pursuit of a well-rounded education and
responsible citizens
Enhancing capacity development among student population through the promotion of training
opportunities for newly elected student leaders
Creating awareness in the entire campus and its environs on the increasing role of
NULASSITES
Organizing civic education programmes where knowledge about the States heritages and values
can be passed on from parents to students.
DAY ONE (Monday ___ 2013):- RALLY AND CULTURAL FESTIVAL:
The rally which will hold within the school premises will showcase some of our cultural heritage as
masquerade significant to Lagos State will be on the display. This is aimed at sustaining our cultural
values and also to increase the level of awareness of the growing role of Lagosians in the university.
DAY TWO (THURSDAY ___ 2013):- VISITATION:
The association plans to visit the Lagos State House of Assembly and Home of the Needy, Visiting
these places will further enhance members’ knowledge on the rudiment of democracy, know more
about Lagos and also give to the less privilege.
DAY THREE (FRIDAY __2013):- “EKO GOT’S TALENTS AND EKO BARBEQUENITE”:
EKO GOT’S TALENTS is programme meant to provide an arena whereby all NULASSITES on
campus will have the opportunity to showcase their God’s given talents. At the end of the show
winners will emerge from different display of talents which includes comedy, drama, design etc.
The event which will hold inside the school premises and organized so as to create an avenue for all
students of Lagos origin all around the campus to relax and get to familiarize with one another.
The EKO BARBEQUE NITE is fashioned to mark the end of a remarkable weeklong celebration of
Lagosians in the UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS.
In summary:
we are requesting support from you sir/ma for the successful accomplishment of EKO WEEK
project
the project is specifically aimed at promoting our socio-cultural identity

A full budget detailing line items is included in page 3.
In brief, we plead sir/ma that any support, financially and otherwise to achieve the stated amount
below for the EKO WEEK programme will be highly appreciated.
