WEEK 1: COPIC MARKER BASICS
ASSIGNMENT
1. Start assembling your binder. Divide your binder into sections with dividers. � You will need a division for Copic Marker Basics � Copic Marker Hand Color Chart (this is where you will have your
completed color chart with your marker inventory) � Other divisions as you choose.
2. Print off all PDF Resources for Week One and file in your binder.
3. Print off a copy of Copics Assignment Color Swatch Sheet.pdf 4. Using the Color Marker Color System Handout as your referral tool: Copic
Marker Color System.pdf to assist you in completing this assignment.
COLOR (BLENDING) FAMILIES
� E-Earthtones YG- Yellow Green
� C-Cool Grey G-Green
� W-Warm Grey B-Blue
� T-Toner Grey V-Violet
� F-Fluorescent BV-Blue Violet
� RV- Red Violet N-Neutral Grey
� R-red
� YR-Yellow Red
Directions: I would like you to use your Blank Copics Color Swatch Sheet and create a Blending Color Family for each Group of Colors. Use your Inventory If you do not have enough markers, Create a Color Blending Family by using the Color Wheel.

5. Assignment: Use the Handout How to Test your Paper & Ink.pdf Select and Test your Paper. Record what paper/ink you used, how it tested, and what will work best for you.
6. Complete your Hand Color chart with your Copic Inventory. Put a color swatch of each color you have in the appropriate place Copic Color Blank Hand Color Charts 8x11" size.pdf See photo above for example
UPLOAD a PHOTO OF YOUR HAND COLOR CHART COMPLETED AND YOUR
COLOR FAMILY SWATCH SHEET TO THE THEAD ALONG WITH YOUR
QUESTIONS.
