What is Facebook?
• A FREE social networking website that allows users to create profiles, upload photos/videos, send messages and keep in touch with friends/family/colleagues/etc.
What can I do with Facebook?
• Keep in touch with your family/friends = PERSONAL PROFILE
PERSONAL PROFILE
•Posting/Commenting on photos
•Interact with your friends/family
•Great for networking
•Great for “Facebookstalking”
PERSONAL PROFILE
•IS AN ONLINE JOURNAL OF YOUR LIFE
What else can I do with Facebook?
• Create a Page for your business/organization/NPO/school/church/etc.
Why Should I Create a Facebook Page?
•Looking to ENGAGE your audience
•Looking to INFORM your audience
•Have things to SHARE with your audience
•NEED TO HAVE A WRITTEN OUT GOAL BEFORE CREATING FACEBOOK PAGE
AWESOME EXAMPLE!
•No calls to buy Skittles
•Few posts about contests or promotions for the candy
Skittles is treating Facebook as a place to further establish the brand’s attitude before a large audience with the help of good images and good writing.
