American Literature Literary Period Poster 

For this project, you will work with a small group to create two posters featuring a specific American Literature literary period 

using the website Adobe Spark. 

What is a Literary Period Poster?

Posters based on a literary period will display words, images, and symbols that represent American authors, common types of writing, recurring or popular themes, and literary works from that specific American literary movement. 

The following information may be featured on your American Literary Period Posters:

The Name of the Literary Period Defining Characteristics of the Literary Movement The Writer’s Purpose Historical Events Impacting Authors and Readers A Reference from a Writing During the Literary Period A Symbol Representing the Literary Movement Images and/or Names of Famous Authors Popular Types of Writing Themes and/or Motifs  Significant Changes in Writing, Author’s Style, Themes, etc

Your two unique posters should present a glimpse or “snapshot” into American Literature during that specific time frame.

American Literature Literary MovementPoster Project

       

You will be creating two posters to represent a period of American Literature. Each poster should contain the following:

The Name of Literary Period Displayed Characteristics of the Writing  A Minimum of Four Related Images References, Quotes, and/or Titles of Literature from that Literary Movement  Themes Popular Types of Writing (Speeches, Poetry, etc)

Note: You do not have to include ALL of the above in BOTH posters. For example, one poster may include popular themes in writing.  The second poster, then, may not reference themes but list specific titles of works and a quote from a piece of literature written during this literary period.
