Pope Benedict XVIYear of Faith: my
posters.I had already known for many years that the apostle Peter’s Bar Mitzvah 2000th anniversary would be around 11th july 2013 so felt encouraged to make some public posters in response to Pope Benedict’s declaration of a Year of Faith. The Year’s dates, from 2013th
anniversary of Peter’s conception until a finishing date relevant to Peter’s wedding gave me further impetus since it was in my opinion clearly a working of the Holy Ghost. In addition there had been a couple of significant adjustments to the liturgical calendar concerning Ascension Day and Corpus Christi. The most astonishing climax came when he resigned on (the anniversary of) Christmas Day which I observe and for which I had made and previously displayed a special poster. After his announcement I slightly altered the grammatical tense of the writing upon it, showed the star and included the bold news headline overprinted on the nativity scene. I then displayed it instead of the original one.
The two photographs (right) show that the posters were made to measure in Microsoft Publisher programme to fit the small glass panels on my front door and were attached with blue-tack. For this communication by e-mail, I scanned the posters because many recipients have difficulty looking

into Publisher documents but Microsoft Word documents can usually be viewed online without any trouble.
Now that this pope has gone he cannot make any further adjustments to what he did in office and the next pope cannot interfere with it either. Therefore this, my ‘harvest’, from his Year of Faith will remain a gift uniquely to me for ever.
