3.15pmNew adult student. Wants to work on his rhythm. Strumming etc. He likes pearl jam etc. Learning to play with a pick. Worked on Under the Milky way Angel of Harlem and now Babe Im Gonna leave you by Zeppelin. Work through songs with him explaining terminology, beat subdivision codas etc.

3:45pmGrade 4 boy. Getting back in to reading notation. Can read ok from about g on 3rd to g on 1st string. Pick some songs with 4th string notes added and go from there. He loves transformers so break the ice with that. He doesnt have a lot of concentration so break things up a bit.

4:15pmBrother and sister. They love to work on pop songs of today like Moves like jagger, Dont you worry child etc. Just write out the vocal melodies of these sorts of songs for them in notation or tab and encourage them a lot

4:45pmYear 8 girl. Has delved in to classical as well as rock. She also loves Michael Jackson stuff. We last worked on Somebody that I used to know. Focus on contemporary material like this.

5:15pmQuiet boy. Have him work through the hal Leonard book for reading and add in pop songs to spice it up a little. He has trouble with note reading on the 4th string.

5:45pmYoung girl whose mother will sit in on the lesson. Very nice family. Heve her work through hal Leonard book one from the last page we were working on. Also she loves taylor swift so maybe write out some simple vocal melodies of those tunes for her to work on as well.

6:15pmJust work on pop tunes of today whether vocal melodies or other arrangements. Pretty laid back about it.

6:45pmGood student who is open to all styles. Loves rock and blues mostly so I recommend getting him working on soloing concepts as well as a few rock tunes that have potential for soloing. Loves foo fighter, nirvana

7:15pmAdult student. Told him I was leaving so he may get lessons closer to home. If not he loves 50s and 60s rock stuff as well as delving in to classical guitar. Last was working on Canon in D.

I was leaving so he may not return. Have a lot of patience as he is just starting to improve his timing and reading after a couple of years. Focus on reading music a lot with him. Keep it simple and check where he is up to.
