Palo Alto County Sheriff
Department Report
On February15 at 8:21 P.M. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 4300 block of 360th St., for improper passing on the right. As a result of the stop the driver of the vehicle, Roger Kruse (60) of Ruthven, was placed under arrest and charged with driving while suspended, improper passing on the right, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. The passenger in the vehicle, identified as Jonathan Sutherland (35) of Ruthven, was also placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported without incident to the Palo Alto County Jail and jailed to await their initial appearance before a judge.
On Friday, February 14, 2020, at 7:44 pm, the Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office arrested Kelsy Miller (27) of Mallard on a valid Palo Alto County warrant for contempt of court - failure to appear for initial appearance on an original charge of violation of a protective order, which is a simple misdemeanor. Bond was set in the amount of $500.00 cash only. Miller was transported to the Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office, without incident. Miller was able to post bond and was subsequently released after given a court date to appear at a later time.

Over a Cup of Joe..by Jay Schoning All pro athletes are bilingual – they speak English and profanity. But
not our Titans, and I am happy to say I am very proud of our Titan reps at state. Congratulations for representing Titan Nation at the state wrestling tourney. It is quite an accomplishment to make it to the ‘Well’ for the big show. These two athletes make us proud; they are respective and work very hard for all the accomplishments they have made over the past four years of high school – they will be awesome in college wrestling as well. The trouble with jogging is that by the time you realize you’re not in shape for it, it’s too far to walk back.
My friend out at the lake went on a blind date Saturday night. I asked her "How was your blind date?" She said "Terrible! He showed up in a 1932 Rolls-Royce." I said "What’s so terrible about that?". She sez "He was the original owner." Remember the friend from town here I was rat-ting out a couple weeks ago who thought she was having a stroke when she actually had her shoes on the wrong feet? Well, another senior mo-ment. This past week she was clipping tags off some new towels. She asks “do you have scissors?” Yes said her granddaughter, on the counter. She goes over to the counter and can’t find them anywhere? Granddaughter sez “grandma your elbow is on them.” Then she gets cut, a finger cut. When going for the band aids she sex “I can’t figure these things out – they’re the weirdest band aids ever.” Well grandma – they’re not band aids they’re na-sal strips. The biggest loser at my weight-loss club was an elderly woman. "How’d you do it?" we asked. "Easy," she said. "Every night I take my teeth out at six o’clock."
A man sued an airline company after it lost his luggage – sadly, he lost his case. Now this wasn’t the end of the evening festivities. After finally getting a band aid on, her grandson said his shoes were getting tight after wearing them for almost a year. A second grader grows pretty fast. So, when buying shoes for him at Christmas, grandma got him two pairs! That way she could give him the ‘one size larger’ shoes when he grew out of them. Granny goes back home to get them and brings them back over. The ‘one size bigger’ shoes were actually ‘one size smaller’!! Hmmm – not mentioning any names Brenda. I don't remember much from last night, but the fact that I needed sunglasses to open the fridge this morning tells me it was awesome …
