For the first half of the year we will be working in our sketchbooks on Wednesday to perfect your drawing skills.

We focus on your hand to eye coordination.

This will not only improve your drawing skills….but your driving skills too!

Grading your sketchbook Drawings

At the end of every 2 weeks you will turn in your sketchbook for me to grade.

I will go through the book to be sure you completed each weeks drawing skills.

You will then receive a grade from 100 possible points.

* Remember: Its all about your effort

Today….

We need to set up your sketchbooks for daily bellwork

AND

Complete a reference drawing.

Daily Bellwork

Each week we look at a different artist.

Every day you will examine a different artwork of that artist and write down some thoughts on what you think about the artwork.

Setting up your sketchbook….

Follow along with me on how this is done.

You will be folding and drawing a grid pattern on 5 of your skethbook pages.

Reference Drawing

Today you will try your hardest to draw an image.

At the end of the second quarter you will draw this image again…

You then get to compare the two and see how much you have improved in your drawing skills.
