1349 A rare First War Officer's cuff rank uniform and medals, formerly the property of Captain R W White, 21st Canadian Infantry Battalion/Royal Flying Corps:- First War Khaki Officer's cuff-rank tunic by Hobson & Sons London together with trousers by Bell Jardiniere of Paris, the jacket with 21st Canada Infantry Battalion collars, early Observer's half-wing brevette, two silver wound strips, four blue arm chevrons, brass Canadian buttons and medal ribbons, the fourth ribbon unattributed and thought to be either for the Allied Victory Medal or the ribbon that accompanied the Pembroke Civic Medallion, the tunic name "Capt. R.W. White 98/92". Sold together with a 1914/15 Star trio (Capt.R.W.White 21st Canadian Infantry); Canadian Memorial Cross named "Capt.R.W.White" with original condolence card, Pembroke bronze Civic Medallion inscribed "Lt.R.W.White"; bronze Life Saving Medallion "R.W.White June 1914" in original box; brown envelope from Robert Simpson Stores Toronto containing six padded Officer's pips, brass buttons, etc together with a copy of Captain White's full service record in excess of 50 pages, extensive personal history research of over 27 pages and various copies of photographs and reference material used in the personal history.
