Weddings are one of life’s most treasured milestones. Here at Lythe Hill, we are licensed to hold civil ceremonies, civil partnerships and wedding receptions.
A total of three indoor rooms and an outdoor wedding pavilion have all been registered, so you can choose from an array of stunning settings.
Once situated, rest assured our professionally-trained staff will be at your beck and call to ensure your wedding celebration makes for a lifetime of cherished memories.
Located in the heart of our country house hotel, the Ivory Room is light, bright and modern in design.
With exposed beams and a high glass ceiling, the room feels immersed in nature and gives you the feeling of almost being outside.
The Ivory Room is ideal for up to 150 guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 250 guests for an evening reception. It has its own bar, outside patio area and central stage, with a starlit background – ideal for a band or your own entertainment.

A unique destination befitting your unique occasion, Lythe Hill’s Pavilion is the most picturesque setting for your outside wedding.
Set in the valley of the hotel grounds with its own winding pathway, the Pavilion is paired with a lakeside gazebo, which is a fully licensed wedding venue in Surrey from March 30 - October 30.
The Old Room
Nestled in Lythe Hill’s historic Tudor House, the Old Room is a truly unique, oak panelled room with a decorative fire place, providing a cosy ambience for your ceremony.
Full of character and steeped in history, this is an ideal space for a smaller sized wedding breakfast.

The gorgeous Hamlet Suite, located in a converted outbuilding in the garden, is an idyllic setting to celebrate your wedding at Lythe Hill.
The cool and contemporary room is flooded with natural light, with the added touch of a stylish wooden floor, creating a romantic and natural space for your ceremony.

house hotels, with its own story to tell
Lythe Hill’s Tudor house is a listed building, dating back to 1475, and has been refurbished and modernised without losing any of its natural charm or historical atmosphere.
Today Haslemere, like Lythe Hill, remains relatively unchanged by the 20th century, with the main hotel comprised of converted farm out-building barns, cattle sheds, milking parlours and stalls.
The surrounding area has attracted a number of eminent writers, poets and artists of the past, among them George Bernard Shaw, Arthur Conan Doyle and Tennyson.
The view of Blackdown is evocative when not shrouded by cloud. One can understand how Tennyson found solace walking on the hill. He spent twenty-five reclusive years living here and died at Aldworth House on the 6th October 1892.
Tennyson said of the view of Blackdown, ‘You came, looked and loved the view long known and loved by me, green Sussex fading into blue with one grey glimpse of sea.’
On a clear day, from the ‘Temple of the Winds’ one can view the counties of Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire at the same time.

Garden SuitesOur two garden suites are located in the grounds overlooking the gardens and lake that have their own private entrance and terrace down to the garden. Designed with space in mind, they come with a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom and Jacuzzi bath. The separate lounge offers comfortable sofas and television.
Tudor House AccommodationWith panelled walls and low level beamed ceilings, the Tudor manor house is truly authentic in design. There are five unique bedrooms located in the original building, all of which are period decorated. These unique suites include one bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a comfortable sitting area.
Superior Rooms The Superior Rooms are all contemporary in design with neutral tones and en-suite bathrooms. This accommodation type can be found in the main building or dotted around the property in our outbuildings.
CateringPersonalised food for
your special day
Our team are dedicated to providing a bespoke service to every wedding. We are able to support you throughout your wedding planning process from initial enquiry to the throwing of the bouquet.
As every couple is unique, our menu can be crafted to fit your needs. From drinks on arrival to the snacks at the end of the evening, our experienced wedding planners and chefs will go above and beyond to meet your expectations.
