Thai wedding ceremonyPerformed by three Buddhist monks, this traditional Thai ceremony begins witha sacred chanting followed by the blessing of the bride and the groom.Their heads are joined with the sai monkon string, signifying that, although their individual identities are retained, the couple’s destinies are now linked. The Head Monk then pours blessed water on the heads of the bride and groom; the water is collected in a bowl of ornately arranged flowers. The guests of the bride and the groom also bless the couple on a water-blessing altar.

Long drum and symbolic gifts processionThe long drum procession is a traditional Thai parade, performed to celebrate joyful moments and occasions, especially weddings. The procession starts off with the musicians, drummers and dancers, dressed in colourful Thai costumes, parading through the resort to the bride’s room. Enroute, the groom’s friends and relatives join the procession carrying symbolic gifts. The bride and bridesmaids are the last to join the parade, which will end up at the wedding venue.

LEGAL PROCEDUREThe below information is provide as a guideline for the legal procedure in Thailand and it may be charged by the Thai Government withoutprior notice. To ensure that you obtain the most current information and should you wish to obtain further details, we recommend contactingthe Thai Embassy in your location.1. Issue the certificate Letter for bride and groom from the respective Embassy of your country In Thailand (in English Language)2. The Certificate Letter of bride and groom issued in English language by the embassies, has to be translated into Thai language by any Law

office in Bangkok.3. The original documents from point 1 and 2 must be validated and stamped (on every page) by The Ministry of Foreign Affair in Bangkok.

Note : The valid passports of bride and groom must be shown for steps 1, 2 & 3.To complete the above, please allow 3 working days in Bangkok. It is strongly recommended to make appointments with the Authorities inorder to have the documents issued on time.

4. Once in Phi Phi Island, the documents will be given to the City Hall a few days prior to wedding day.

Point 4 will be taken care by Holiday Inn Resort Phi Phi Island and is subject to a fee of THB 12,000 for both options. Please note that the hotelis not responsible for completing steps 1 to 4; the bride and groom are the sole responsible for issuing the correct documents. Steps 1 to 4 arenot required if the bride and groom do not need any legal paper for certifying their wedding.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Important Information for the wonderful day.

1. The package price is quoted in Thai Baht and inclusive of 17.7% Tax andService Charge

2. The package does not include accommodation and wedding attire.3. To secure the booking, 50% of the total estimated cost of the function is

required to be settled with the hotel upon confirmation at least 6 months priorto wedding date. The estimated balance payment is due 60 days prior to thewedding date.

4. Any additional charge will be settled and payable directly to Holiday Inn ResortPhi Phi Island upon departure.

5. The hotel requests that no outside food of any kind are brought in by guestswithout prior consent as they will be subject to any service and / or laborcharge as deemed necessary by the hotel.

6. The resort takes its security procedures very seriously, and therefore requestsadvance notice of the involvement of any outside suppliers, contractors orentertainment, as they would be required to enter and exit the hotel throughthe security gate. Outside vendors at the hotel must be approved by the hoteland incur a Thai baht 20,000++fee per outside vendor

7. The hotel asks that any set up, decoration or display should be discussed inadvance, as it would be preferable for it to be in keeping with the hotel interms of color, material, type of equipment, etc…

8. During monsoon season in Thailand, May to October, contingency plan isrequired and need to be discussed upon arrival

9. A decision on whether to hold the function should be made at least for hoursprior to the start of the function by the hotel management

CANCELLATION POLICY

Note : Hotel will charge all cancellation fees to the tour operator or directly to the client.

AMENDMENT : An amendment on wedding day isallowed, but subject to time of request and confirmation by the hotel. Once amendment ismade and confirmed in writing, the cancellation &no show policies will be applied based on thenew date.
