Destination Wedding Checklist

6 –12 MONTHS BEFORE• Contact wedding coordinator to choose a wedding date• Indicate if you would like a Symbolic or Legal ceremony (note: selecting a legal ceremony date

Our packages include either the Silver or Gold Dinner Wedding package and can be set up at any of the above mentioned terraces or ballroom.

Dinner Policies

• Set menus for wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners are available for groups. (Additional charges apply)

• No music or dancing are allowed in any of our restaurants.

• Music is only allowed at private events on our different terraces or/and in our ballroom.

• Wedding receptions included in the packages offer 1 hour for cocktail and three hours for dinner reception, after this time an additional fee applies per person per hour. All events are permitted until no later than 11:00 PM.

• Extra hour fee - 2 to 20 people – $300.00 (minimum charge) Extra person after initial 20 – $15.00/person/hour

• Weather is reviewed four hours prior for all outside ceremonies or activities. If inclement weather is forecasted, the ceremony and/or reception must be moved alternate locations indoor.

Deposit PolicyA $100.00 deposit is required to confirm and hold the requested wedding date. This deposit can then be applied toward ceremony and/or reception upgrades which have been purchased in addition to the wedding package. If the wedding couple chooses not to purchase additional ceremony and/or reception amenities, the credit can then be applied toward any room charges upon check out, including but not limited to phone charges, spa treatments and logo shop purchases. Any remaining credit balance will be refunded in the form of the original payment.

Cancellation PolicyThe wedding can be canceled six or more months prior to the confirmed date without penalties. If the wedding is canceled within six months, the non-refundable deposit will be kept as a penalty.

Policy on Damages and Losses

The property does not assume responsibility for any items, personal or professional, brought onto the resort prior to, during or after the wedding event. These include, but are not limited to, floral arrangements, decorations or equipment. The wedding couple is responsible for all non resort guests while they are on property attending the event.

Documentation required by the Dominican Law in order to be legally married in the Dominican Republic.

Civil Wedding

• Birth Certificate of Bride and Groom or certified copy of Birth certificate. If parents’ names are not shown on the certificates, please indicate them separately.

• Notarized Declaration of Single status for the Bride and Groom. If previously married, submit two copies of the Divorce Decree or Death Certificate. There is a mandatory waiting period for women, 10 months before they are legally allowed to remarry.

• A photocopy of Bride and Groom’s Passport (or documents used to enter the DR).

• Photocopies of all Witnesses Passports. Cannot be family members. If necessary, resort will provide witnesses.

• Bride & Groom must be in the country 3 business days prior to the wedding. Symbolic and non-legal ceremonies allow flexibility for arrival date. Please speak with the wedding coordinator to discuss requirements.

Please note: The Dominican Republic is now a member of the La Hague Convention, please have your official documents apostilled by your Secretary of State Office. You can Also contact “Vitalcheck.com” to request apostilled Documents.

All documents must be translated and legalized by the Dominican

Consulate prior to arriving in the Dominican Republic, except

for the Passports. The documents should be legalized by the

Dominican Consulate no more than 3 months prior to the

wedding date. It is the couple’s responsibility to have all the

documentation ready prior to the wedding. The Judge is an

outside service provided by the Dominican Government. We

cannot be held responsible for any delay or alteration. The Judge

will duly register your Wedding Certificate at the Central Civil

Board and legalize it with the Foreign Affairs Department of the

Dominican Republic. We will then send the Wedding Certificate

to the couple via mail which may take up to 10-12 weeks.

The Civil Wedding is celebrated in Spanish. If necessary, Dreams

Punta Cana will provide English, French or German translators

without an additional charge.
