WEPS staff are beginning to organise Home Groups for 2013. This is a very detailed process which involves much thought and time. All requests will be given due consideration, however there is no guarantee that requests can be fulfilled. 2013 ENROLMENTS If your child/children will not be attending WEPS in 2013, please contact the office as soon as possible. Accurate enrolment information assists us greatly in organising the Home Groups and in fine tuning the budgets and expenditure. ICT and NETBOOKS -. A huge thank you to the families who have sup- ported the Year 4,5 and 6 Netbook program this year. The staff are great- ly appreciative of the support from the WEPS School Council and the WEPS School community in the contributions made over the past year to upgrade and increase the access to current ICT equipment across the school. In 2013 we will continue the process and hopefully fulfil our aim of having one to one devices for students in years 4, 5 and 6 from the begin- ning of the year and increased access to a variety of ICT devices across the school. Further information relating to the Netbook program will be forwarded to families in the near future. YEAR 6 NETBOOKS – The WEPS technicians will be requesting the return of year 6 Netbooks in early December to reformat them ready for either use at a DEECD secondary school or with an alternative operating system if they are going to be used for home use. INDUSTRIAL ACTION – All staff will be undertaking further Work Bans over the next three weeks, which involves the reduction of one, one hour meeting per week. THE WEPS TEAM IN UNIFORM Students are expected to be in full summer school uniform for term 4, including their school hat. There are samples of the uniforms in the office and all items are available at WEPS, except for the summer dresses which are navy and white check and available at Target, K Mart and Best for Less. Please see the office if you require extra uniforms and there are also some second hand items available Tomorrow we farewell a marvellous teacher and person. Alex Mason- Alex is expecting her first baby very shortly and we wish her the very best as she begins a new challenge in life, MOTHER HOOD! Alex has been a tremendous Home Group Teacher and in recent times her work teaching everyone in the field of ICT has been greatly appreciated. Thank you to the 1 /2 team for their organisation of the year 2 camp in Port Fairy. There were many happy faces as they headed off on their first REAL SCHOOL CAMP this morning! school dressed up as someone or something starting with the first letter of your first name. For

example: Michael would dress up as Mickey Mouse. Remember it’s a gold coin donation.

Last week students from WEPS entered artwork in the local Warrnambool Show. These works were

displayed for the duration of the show in the Arts Pavillion. Over 300 students from WEPS were

represented, with some talented students winning certificates. Ms Finnigan and

Mr Woonton would like to congratulate all students who entered their wonderful

work.

Both the 3/4N &L Great Wall of Dairy and the Prep farm animals looked great on

the front stage of the pavilion, both winning commendation ribbons. Great work!!!

The following students won individual certificates:

1st: Millie Quarrell, Kayla Jewell, Jade Bell, Starsha Kane, Buster King, Schkaya

Smith and Emily Nesbitt

2nd: Jorden Hiensch, Natasha Quarrell, Monique English.

Highly Commended: Kayla Shears, Rhiannon Kirby, Emily Ward and Shannon Haebich.

To see all these original works of art come to the WEPS Spring Fair.
