Guidelines1: Know your BMI
2: Eat slowly, with a fork and knife. Consume fewer calories
3: To lose weight, keep your carbohydrates below 40 grams per day. Perform intermittent fasts.
4: Avoid the 7 starchy snags (Bread, Rice, Noodles, Flour, Corn, Potatoes, Sugar).
5: The rest of your food, by weight, should be 70% unsaturated fat (preferably from plants) and 20% protein.
6: Treat yourself to new or slightly worn clothes every 5-10 lbs or so.
7: Help and encourage others. There is strength in numbers.
8: Help your pet. They deserve to live longer too.

Mindfulness• Get comfortable with discomfort
• Give your full attention to the sensation of hunger
• Embrace the feeling of hunger instead of distracting yourself from it.
• By delving into this sensation, you are able to remind yourself that this discomfort will pass, much like an uncomfortable hot or cold, or other emotions that you have experienced.
• This will make your discomfort become distant, no longer unbearable or endless.
• Remember, the discomfort of hunger is most likely withdrawal.
• Hunger is not your body dying. Hunger is your body lying.
