The Portal Architect is responsible for confirming and documenting the non-functional requirements for the broker portal, defining the architecture, and participating in the macro/micro design. Given a client's infrastructure strategy, requirements, and guiding principles define the conceptual model of an overall infrastructure solution.

Create an Architecture Overview Diagram and conceptual level Component and Operational Model.

Given a conceptual architecture model, knowledge of the existing infrastructure, and a set of infrastructure requirements, define an infrastructure topology including the placement of systems, storage, middleware, networking, and security components that meets the requirements and supports the architecture.

Given specific architecture model knowledge of the existing infrastructure and a set of infrastructure requirements, define an implementable physical level design.

Develop performance, availability, capacity, security, interface, and physical specifications for each component identified in an infrastructure specified architecture.

Test the ability of given infrastructure architectures to support the infrastructure requirements.

Qualifications:

5 - 8 years experience in a Technical IT Architect role A degree or Diploma in a computer-related discipline or equivalent Experience in infrastructure design, development and administration
