Before you log in

Before you log in, only public information is available:● The training aids - manuals for the server and for you the website user● Joining the email list - add your family email addresses so you can sub and ask for subs.● Login - so you can see everything!

Your family is shown at the top of the yellow column on the right.

There is a link for you to follow when you want to update information about your family or one of your children.

This link is at the bottom of the yellow column, below your assignments.

See at a glance when your children are scheduled to serve.Use the link above your assignments to reflect a server-for-server

swap you worked out with another family by text or email.

Use the buttons to request a sub for one or all of your children assigned to a Mass.

Editing family information

Two pages of family information to update

1. Items that apply to your whole family: parent contact info, Mass preferences, summer month-off selection.

2. Items that apply to your individual children: child’s contact information, school, grade, in PSR?, in choir?Servers are shown together but saved individually. Update and update again until it is all the way you want it.

Start the process by clicking on the link below your server assignments. (If you have no assignments, this link will be higher on the page.)

License agreement/terms of being an altar server

Mandatory agreements:● We cannot have servers who cannot really serve● We cannot have servers whose parents won’t do

their part

When you click this button, the page moves on to the server information page. Everything should be the way you want it before clicking here.

Editing your servers’ information Here is a family with three servers:1. Somebody in High School2. Two in grade school

Two servers have been trained for weddings and funerals.

No PSR option for high school kids.

Option to schedule training for each server

Use this button if you are adding a new server to your family

What is your child’s birthday?

When did he make his first communion?

When you click on this button, the page loads into the database and refreshes with the saved data for all your servers so you can make sure you saved it right.

When you click this button, the page moves on to the server information page. Everything should be the way you want it before clicking here.

Adding your new server’s information

When you add a server, it just adds an empty record to the database. You must fill in the name and check the school and grade and other boxes

When you click on this button, the page loads into the database and refreshes with the saved data for all your servers so you can make sure you saved it right. You new server should now have whatever name you entered. That is how you will know you did it properly.

When you click this button, the page moves on to the server information page. Everything should be the way you want it before clicking here.

Return to main page after updating family

After you have updated your family information, the system will return you to the main page.

You can make sub requests, handle swaps, print manuals, join the mailing list, or logout from here.

Posting A Sub Request

You can request subs for all your servers by clicking on the “Sub All” button for the assignment.

You can request a sub for a specific server by clicking on the “Sub” button that includes the server’s name for the assignment.

The system will mark the sub request.

If you ask for a sub, plan on taking somebody’s sub request.

If you just don’t like a Mass you were assigned, maybe the Lord is stretching you.

If you consistently do not show up, you will be removed from scheduling.

Subs only work if everybody helps!

Posting A Swap: Step 1You pick the family from the pull-down list

You select the “Go” button.

Posting A Swap: Step 2

You select the server from your family for the Mass you are swapping out.

You select the server from the other family for the Mass you are swapping in.

When everything balances (that’s a swap), click the button “Do Swap”

Emails

Email Confirmations

● A Swap sends emails to both families● A sub filled sends emails to both families

Email Reminders

● Wednesday: a reminder of an assignment two weeks away. Gives you time to get a sub request out if you cannot make it.

● Thursday: a reminder of an assignment this upcoming weekend and through next Friday.

● Tuesday: a reminder to servers scheduled for training this week

Website limitations

● This website was developed by a non-professional.

○ You get what you pay for!

● This website was developed for desktop use.

○ Cannot rely on it from an iPhone during carpool!

● This website is hosted by bluehost.com.

○ Sometimes runs real slow for no reason.
