• “Find” works well for searching for books, browsing specific newspapers, and browsing streaming video
• “Ask Us” works really well for live chat, but we should make available from elsewhere
• “About Us” works well for jobs and giving
• “Using the Library” works well for study rooms
• “Research & Writing Tools” works well for formatting/managing citation tools

What this tells us: where to improve• “Using the Library” might be too vague. People
tried it for chat, browsing a newspaper, searching for books, accessing JSTOR, & self-publishing
• “Research and Writing Tools” may confuse users
• “For Scholars & Authors” similar to “Storing & Sharing Your Research”

Databases are specialized search tools that help our users find and access content for their research.
Our database tool on the website will include:
• Subscription databases that the library has purchased
• Trial databases that the library is evaluating
• Open-access databases that index content that the library owns (e.g. Google Scholar, PubMed)

Our database tool on the website will not include:
• Encyclopedias, handbooks and other reference resources
• Specific newspaper or journal titles
• Library collections
• Websites
• Citation tools
• Other tools and software that don’t search for content
• Sub-databases or faceted views of a particular database
