  • Maintenance Scheduling & Resource Planning You are invited to join Dr Nima Safaei for a webinar discussion to explore four case studies on Wednesday 29th August 2018. Workforce-constrained Maintenance Scheduling in Steel Company

How do we simultaneously minimize the workforce requirements and maximizing the equipment availability?

Maintenance Workforce Planning for Power Restoration in a Electricity Delivery

Company In this case study a proposed approach for annual planning of power restoration workforce related to an electricity distribution company is discussed. Internal and external workforces are employed to perform maintenance actions and restore power after interruptions throughout the province. According to the electricity distribution network, the province is divided into a number of work locations (WL), each having local crews to perform maintenance actions and fix power interruptions. However, determining the size of the crew in each WL over the year is challenging because of high fluctuation in interruption frequency and consequently in projected demand during the year.

    Aircraft maintenance Routing and scheduling

The range of maintenance types and variety of individual aircraft's ages and utilization rates means the maintenance demand for each aircraft differs from one period to another, thus complicating aircraft routing decisions. How we ensure sufficient maintenance opportunities are available within the planned routes to satisfy the maintenance demands of individual aircraft?

Maintenance Tasks Scheduling for fighter Fleet with daily missions, Aircraft with a certain flying program in which the availability of the aircraft sufficient to meet the flying program is a challenging issue. During the pre- or after-flight inspections, some component failures of the aircraft may be found. In such cases, the aircraft are sent to the repair shop to be scheduled for maintenance jobs, consisting of failure repairs or preventive maintenance tasks. How do we schedule the jobs in such a way that sufficient number of aircrafts is available for the next flight programs?
