Presenters

Valérie Cavin joined the Water and Infrastructure Team as a senior adviser at HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in January 2011. In the Team she is in charge of the thematic of household water treatment, water quality, marketing sanitation, hygiene education and behavior change. At the moment she is leading the learning expedition of Behavior Change of Helvetas in close collaboration with Eawag. She has experience of working on WASH in more than 10 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Nicolas Morand joined HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in 2006 as regional Water and Sanitation Advisor in West Africa. He gained further experiences as project manager in a post-earth quake WASH intervention in Haiti and is now project advisor of a Wash Governance Project in Mozambique. He has introduced the behavior change approach in the post CLTS phase of the PROGOAS Project in northern Mozambique and developed new intervention for latrine use and maintenance

Jacques Louvat joined HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in 2011 as Regional Advisor West Africa and is based in Mali. He has more than 20 years of experiences in the field of water and sanitation in Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali. A rich knowledge in implementing Wash Project and strengthening capacity of local governmental staff, development of new methodologies and tools. He coached the Jikura project in Mali, which was the first pilot implementing the behavior change approach and contributed significantly in its development.
