Photosynthesis is a process that occurs in plant cells. Explain the process of photosynthesis. (HINT: What is it? and the equation?)

Photosynthesis is a process by which a plant leaf makes food. Carbon dioxide is a gas in the air. It enters the leaf through stomata. Water is absorbed by roots and reaches the leaf by xylem tubes. Sunlight is taken in by chlorophyll in plant cell. Chlorophyll changes carbon dioxide, water and sunlight into sugar and oxygen.

carbon dioxide + water + sunlight energy sugar + oxygen.
